11 years after the original film and after Maggie's request (come on everybody's probably seen it anyway) a 2nd movie of The Simpsons is FINALLY Happening after all this time! The first Simpsons movie to me was fine, but I think more could have been added as there seemed to be some lost opportunity. That's why I hope the 2nd film includes more content than the first. This news was announced along side a new Family Guy live action and animated film, making their big screen debut. No release date has been determined but they have said the sequel for the Simpsons movie is already in production .
