  2. Are you gonna use the wireframe-like floor for the final version of this level? I did it so plz plz give me credits... I see this art everywhere and I doubt anybody knew that I made it... They even aren't that great... Sorry if I'm beeing a dick right now but damn... I wanted to say it a long time ago!
  3. Tax, the model is great but I just think the Head should have a better connection with the body... FlashTHD, the file is in the same directory of the Sonic the Hedgehog.exe... Isn't windows hiding it?

  5. Mark, I have to agree with Khorney there are some things in 2D that need some adaptation for 3D... The challenge of the loop in 2D was that you need some speed pass through it, and if the speed is not enough you fall from it. But in 3D you can fall from the loop if you don't turn a bit to follow the loop's path and the more speed the more difficult it is to do, and this is not chalenging, it's anoying so if sonic followed a straight line in the loop, but applied those rules from 2D (one thing that is lacking in the adventure series) the loop would be equally fun without being anoying. Don't take it as we're complaining too much but this project is so brilliant that me (and I guess Khorney, and everyone who commented) want to see it working as good as possible.

  7. I didn't read all the topic, but I have friends that gave up beating sonic 2 because the last boss is too difficult and you must restart from the first level. I think the way S3&K works is fine, lifes are still valuable because nobody wants to restart from the beggining of the level... In the genesis ages, I used to loose all my lifes in harder levels and if I tryed it again, probably I would loose my 3 lifes again and again in the same point. So I picked like 2 or 3 levels before it, because they were easier, and I could get many lifes to beat that difficult level. It also gives a good replay value and would not piss me off because I had the option of playing some leves again or not. Maybe this bring a new theory: the difficulty of the levels should not be "very easy - easy - normal - hard - teh hardness", maybe some easy levels after and before hard ones can make the game more enjoyable to play (and replay)...
  8. Nice (late) christmas present, TFH is classic and so is the style of this little demo, simple and fun as fangames should be. But a spindash could be easier to make, and the jump should be higher, other than that, great job.

  14. Amazing! Talking about shadows, I think that the most important shadow is missing... Sonic's shadow (on the second pic)...
  15. Isn't this demo suposed to have one act of Perplex Puzzle, as it says in the download section of your page? Because I got stuck in the boss act of City Edge... After completing the boss the invisible wall kept there... Looks great so far, I just have some points to complain about: - The rolling physics are not ok, when I roll in a slope it decelerates too fast, it's not like in the classic games... - The temporary invencibility when you loose rings/shields is very fast, sometime I get hurt again before I touch the floor... Also the semi-transparent thing is confusing (both sonic and the rings), I thing that blinking gives a better sense of invencibility (sonic) / fading out (rings) - Good or Bad Future would be nice Other thank that, awesome stuff...

  17. Yeah, it doesn't need to be a 360 engine, but some slopes would make the game looks more fluid.
  18. Wow, it looks really nice but as people said the camera is not ok, it's too centered in sonic, try to show the path in front of sonic, and do not center too much when sonic jumps. The graphics are amazing, looks like a new official GG Sonic game, nice job.
  19. God, that's the better damn thing I've seen in months! It's like, omg, I grew watching DBZ, it's like part of my life and I grew playing sonic, now I see an animation with both styles... It's a nice plot, a nice animation... well, it rocks period.
  20. Nice engine Mark, it very near from what I imagine as the 3D version of the classic 2D engine... My only complain is about the camera, you should get rid of the mouse, but otherwise it's great. Nice job!
