  1. @Zenor: The level will be in the game, just that act wont. The level layout will be totally different. (Will resemble to play like Sleeping Egg Zone)

    Small update. Currently I'm working on loops, (yes thats right, hopefully TGF will have loops ^_^) If it doesn't work, then screw it, it'll be Sonic2GG type loops. (yeah like pre-defined paths ect ect.) We have water, zoomtubes and other related gimmicks working. yay.

    Anyway 'ere is some pictures of the title screen, Turquoise Gardens and Winter Limits. (The Trees in Winter Limits have now been changed to Igloos =P)

  2. I have only one complaint with the sprite and that is the fact that he looks kind of pastel.

    I agree. It gives it a sort of Chaotix look about it. Although I dont think it needs to be darker, otherwise his arms/skin would be black. It needs brightening up and a tad more satuation to it. (My opinion that is)

  3. Born on the month Sonic 1 came out =P. So in a sense I've been with him since the beginning. =P

    First time I've played Sonic was when I was four, when I got Sonic 2 for Christmas, and I've loved the blue guy ever since.

    I'm 17 (18 in June). Ha ha ha so is Sonic too ^_^

  4. Sonic Advance was almost as good as the genesis games, and Sonic Battle was a really cool spinoff. It's just everything beyond that point that's been terrible.

    I quite liked Rush and Rush Adventure.

    And I totally agree with the SA1 and 2, they were very fun indeed. Metal Harbour anyone?

    Although Cyborg's post just made me lol so much...so much...it's so true...

  5. If you have a midi or anything I could take the notes from, (I really dont want to use my ear to get the notes. Takes too long,) I'll do it anyway =P.

    Don't have to use it for your game, but if you want to see how it would sound, I'll do it for ye. =P

  6. Wow, cheers for your kind comments! ^_^!

    I use VOPM VSTi along with FL. (Cubase failed on me >.<).

    And for the PSG I use ProtoPSG.

    For the DAC, I just ripped them off a emulator. (Although the hi-hats are made using the PSG)

    Btw, just something I whipped up just after posting this topic:

    Metropolis Zone Act 2

    I always wanted to hear an Act 2 version, so I made one quickly lol.

    Btw if you want me to make like music for your games, (genesis of course) just PM me or something and we'll sort something out.

  7. Just recently I've been getting into the Mega Drive Music Scene (if there is one...). I've been learning and listening to how the MegaDrive/Genesis produces music, and how it sounds to help remix some of my music (for Mayhem2) into MegaDrive Style music.

    Anyway I've got some tracks to show off, and I want people opinions, (although it isnt going to sound exactly like the genesis) but I think it sounds close enough.

    My best one 'ere is Winter Limits Zone which uses PCM, 2612 and DAC just like the genesis would, where as one of the Egg Ruin (Genesis Mix one) just uses 2612 sounds. (The other ER music uses PCM, 2612 and DAC).

    Lol I'll stop going on, 'eres the links to them, tell me what ye think.

  8. Dude, I'm really sorry to hear this. MM was one of my games I was really looking forward too due it cools concept ideas. =(. I can understand about the rage you must be going through cause it's one of the MOST annoying things to lose all your hard work in a second.

    I'll still look forward to any non Sonic related projects you intend to do.

  9. Looking very good, I must say I do like the look of Angel Isle, but the background mountain clashes with the foreground tiles. Also add some plants or some type of decoration in the zone, as it looks a bit bland. Although you might of left it out just for level design purposes.

    Anyway it looks very good so far.

    Btw: If you want something instead of a timer, then you could do something like in Sonic Chaos and have a speed meter. (Like a timer) but at the end of the act instead of showing how long it took, it would show you the time in a form of speed (k/ph) Just a idea.

  10. Urgh... this topic has totally reminded me of You Tube and the amount of n00bs posting stuff like (on Unleashed videos) "OMGZ BEST SONIC GAME EVERZ!1!111!" "PEOPLE WHO BASH THIS GAME DONT KNOW SONIC!" and all that jazz.

    Seriously to them people gtfo.

    If you like the game, fair enough, I enjoyed some aspects of the game (and newer games in general) but I still stick to my guns, Sonic has gone down the pan. "True Sonic Fans" would say that anyday, because without the classic old ones, we wouldn't have the new ones, and old ones kicks the new game asses.

    </rant>

    *prolly didnt make sense oh well, much like new Sonic games really har har har*
