  1. Adding so many characters will probably cause a few headaches if you're looking to get your level design spot on. Although i guess if you're basing this on Sonic and knuckles you can get some ideas from the real game's level design. During the first few minutes of the video i though this was the best thing i had ever seen. But i'm not too keen on using too much edited graphics. You've probably got away with it though by using them so well (i love the beach background and the new pallette) I thought this was made with mmf2 since it has the rotation, sadly using sprite based rotation in mmf.1.5 means your filesize will be about 700k more than it needs to be just for sonics extra frames. Nevermind eh? Good luck, this has given me a little inspiration because my 1st zone is probably going to be a beach based level (only without ripped graphics, lol )
  2. Clickteam don't support anything older than MMF2 anymore so you wont find anything on their site.
  3. In my opinion this is much more akin to Sonic cd than the megadrive games. Something does seem a little off though, like being able to run up a wall a bit too easily maybe, But it's nothing worth worrying about. This is probably the best example of Sonic fangame making ive ever seen. Nice one Also if I go near any flashing tiles (like right at the start) the framerate is really slow. Also you can get really smooth scrolling on mmf2 if you turn vsync on, set display mode to 'standard' and framerate to 60 (but it sometimes is too much to handle)
  4. I don't understand the part you are having trouble with. Do you mean having the water wobble, distorting the screen?
  5. Ok Mr.Ksoft do you have vsync turned on? because ive noticed that makes a large difference in performance and sometimes makes my games run too slow. (or run beautifully, based on randomness usually...) or directx + vram and such. try messing around with all that stuff.
  6. Well done. That was pretty good. The graphics didn't seem to clash for me. I'm fairly sure the background graphics (and music) are from Sonic Studium/Crackers. And some graphics are from Sonic advance (3?) The only gripes i found are that it's too repepetive, the level was far too long (it took 7 minutes for me to get to the boss) the rings were invisible. the screensize was too small (in my opinion) I thought the whole level desgin was very advance like. Probably too many crushers though, and those things you have to smash take too many hits. Surely one would do?
  7. Well ive got the official bonus packs. I didn't think to check on the forums because i assumed they would all be in the extension archives website. But nevermind, the engine Rael0505 linked to will do just fine. I'm sure i can tweak it enough to add everything i need. Thanks again!
  8. Quick reply! thank you! Well, that is fantastic from what ive seen so far! thank you so much! Now i can continue with my fangame! I'll be sure to stick around these forums and give you guys a preview of it later! Thanks again!
  9. I recently upgraded from The games factory to Multimedia fusion 2 and one of the first things i did was look through all the example engines that aren't TGF compatible. Unfortunately i forgot that a lot of the engines use Maths objects or some kind, so they can't be used in MMF2. There was only 1 that worked, That was the 8 direction movement by Damizean. (only because it contains no extension objects) So i started messing around with it and tried to add loops, it all works fairly well but for some reason when sonic is running at around 135 degrees he will sometimes get pulled into the loop and end up standing in top of it. I'm useless at understanding others work so i can't figure it out (i have looked though) I didn't alter any events, i simply added events so you can run around active objects just as you can the background. So if anyone has a solid engine that works in MMF2 or knows how to fix this problem (or wants me to send them the file) i'd be gratefull. Thanks
