      Welcome back. It has been a long time since I last saw you around. Our community is mainly on Discord now. The site itself has been under reconstruction with the forums recently being down for 6 months.

    when the 3ds tournament is over and the tournament bit on smash bros for wii u opens. I will make the tournament for only people on this site can join if they want. I will give the people who want to the password and they will be able to use that to enter the tournament (it will be through private messages and it will only take effect if password protection is available). I hope you enjoy this tournament and maby the wii u tournament.

    that sounds like a cool idea but can I at least see something of the game b4 being asked to help make something like this? I am thinking that I might make my own fan game but I will ask for help when I have something to show, so that I at least get a bit more support on this.

    That is true. it pretty much falls down to how lazy the developer is. One other thing it could count on is other people. you see fan games like sonic after the sequel and Super Mario Bros x out there, as well as hacks such as Sonic Megamix and Project M. They all have one thing in common. Its that they involved multiple people to make them. Most fan games/ hacks involve multiple people in order to become a fan game/ hacks that people will try and play. If only 1 person was involved in a fan game/ hack that was going to be as good as the ones I said above, then it would ether take forever to create, or not be finished at all.

    Ok. I didn't think the thing was unnoticeable. I will probably use the engine for a sonic fan game I might make in the future. I will make the levels for it and try to make custom sprites ( I say try because I am not good at art. don't believe me? then look at this http://sta.sh/0oernpxi73w ). There is 1 last question I have. How do I add effects to the levels like snow and rain?

    This is a very good sonic engine but I have a nitpick. I find that some things are too fast (e.g. time b4 drowning) and some things are too slow (e.g. knuckles animation for climbing). everything else is spot on to a classic sonic game to me. great work

    sometimes people are confused with what a hack is and what a fan game is. the main difference to tell the 2 apart is that a hack already has the physics correct for when people start to make it, a fan game requires you to start from scratch. I wouldn't say a hack is lazy but I do think a hack is easier than a fan game. The only time I think a hack is harder to make is when you start to change the physics in the game. Fan games like sonic overture and sonic after the sequel are not hacks because fan's had to make the engine from scratch.

    ill practice with anyone who wants to practice with me. I also added everyone's 3ds friends code into my 3ds, so I don't have to add to many people at a later date. Accept my friend request on 3ds and I will vs you to practice (when you want to that is).

    Ive not watched it yet. Ive played the 3ds game demo, and I will get the full game this Christmas (hopefully). Ive also seen reviews of the wii u version. Something tells me this wont last like the other sonic has for the past 23 years. That's my opinion though.
