  1. The sheer amount of trash on Steam Greenlight encourages me to work for harder and longer on my games.

  2. I noticed a glitch in act 1. After the first loop, you fall offscreen and die in a void. Could you fix that? I also think you need to change the controls, too.
  3. You also said specifically that you were playing as Sonic in that stage, indicating more characters are to come. This looks very promising.
  4. Freedom Planet, mainly. Also Mugen, Simpsons Tapped Out, and sometimes even Random Heroes.
  5. Sonic Lost World: I was expecting it to be okay at worst. Instead, it was everything the Adventure fans were shouting at the game for. Plastic graphics, forgettable music, an overload of wonky gimmicks, characters that ranged from annoying to outright offensive, nonsensical level design, and a horrendous storyline. I was then won over to the Adventure fans' side.
  6. I finally got this game on Wednesday. I like it a lot! The characters here are much more likable than in most indie games, and the gameplay has some really surprising moments. I also noticed that this game seems to be the start of a trend of 16/32 bit-styled commercial 2D platformers in the vein of Genesis classics: Spark the Electric Jester, Brock Crocodile, Bingo the Multiva...

  9. Recently, I was working on modifying Chishado's Lost World to make it more compatible with the proposed engine. It turns out the "water" is entirely seperate from the two pieces of main level, and thus the "water" shall leave in favor of a true fluid volume. Expect my first project with the engine to be a "Best of BlitzSonic" compilation of ported and revised stages, including Chishado's stages, OzCrash's stages, and maybe more. I am also making a brand-new level, Enslaved Planet.

First things first, the SEGA continuity: Classic Era: Sonic, Sally, Nack, Honey, Tiara, Knuckles, Espio, Bunnie, Tails, Amy, Mecha Sonic Honorary mentions to Vector, Mighty, Rocket Metal, Witchcart, Tails Doll, Rotor, the Kukkus, and the SSSSS Squad. Dreamcast Era: Tikal, Shadow, Rouge, Omega, Blaze, Silver, Mephiles Honorary Mentions to Biolizard, Iblis, Black Doom, Cream, Chaos, Emerel, Gemerel, and Lumina Modern Era: Most of the characters introduced here were lame. If i had to choose one, it would be either Marine or Shade. Pickle is a runner-up too. Lost Mind: Zeena is the one I least hate, though they all suck. Now for the animated series: AoSTH: Breezie, Roxy, Katella Honorary mentions to Mama Robotnik, Wes Weasely, Sonette, and Miss Possum SatAM: Lupe, Nagus, Snively, Antoine Underground: Sonia and Manic, Mindy LaTour X: Cosmo Honorary mentions to Molly, Topaz, and Bokkukun Boom: Sticks and Perci And now the comics Early Archie: None, really. All of the pre-Penders characters sucked. Well, I guess i'd pick Larry as my favorite if he counts. I kinda liked the one-shot character Botman. Early Penders Era: Julie-Su (though I used to hate her when I was a Knouge nut), Geoffrey St. John, Lien-Da Honorary mention to EVE Middle Penders Era: Mina Mongoose, Dimitri, Leeta and Lyco, Rob O' The Hedge Honorary Mentions to the Iron Queen, Elias and Megan Acorn, and Monkey Khan. Oh, and Saleta and Sally-Zilla. Late Penders Era: Fiona Fox, Lara-Su, Dr. Finitevus Flynn Era: Scourge, Shard, Alicia, Buns Full SEGA Mandates Era: Eclipse, Relic, Cassia, Clove Honorary mentions to Coral and Pearly. Early Fleetway: Megatox (IMO the most frightening Sonic character ever created.) Honorary mentions to Johnny and Porker (duh) Middle Fleetway: Tekno, Shortfuse, Morain, Ebony, Brutus, Emperor Metallix, Dr. Zachary Late Fleetway: Death-Trap STC-O (If it counts): Vichama Can't really say for the OVA, Martin Adams books, or anything really obscure.

  15. I saw the video you made on physics, and I have to say I'm impressed. May I help contribute to the project? I have ripped and converted a few BlitzSonic levels (actually, only one, as the rest of the ones I will send already had the raw file included) and I am willing to submit them to Project Nexus. EDIT: I'm also making an EXP system and Job System right now.

      I'd love to use the Free Riders models in my game, but I only have the originals. Not terribly familiar with this whole ripping dealio.

      At some point I really want to add extreme gear to my game as well.

  18. When will the next character reval be? I've been waiting for weeks, and it just makes me sad no news on the game is coming to light. EDIT: The Babylon Rogues have been revealed!
  19. Sonic World not starting with mouse control is a godsend. I hope this game doesn't use mouse controls either.

  22. I've recently learned to produce basic programs in Unity, which may help me out once your engine is released.
