  4. I also made an NES Sonic mockup, that uses 8x8 sprites, 8 3-color palettes(2 of them are reserved), and only NES colors(SMS is a WIP): http://bit.ly/1G5mxQ6

      Pretty cool how you were able to represent Sonic in an 8x8 block, and I'm glad that I'm not the only one who knows that interactive sprites on the NES only had three visible colors per palette, not four -_-

  6. Wow. I am REALLY bad at level design. I have a vague idea of a type of level I want to make, but no idea what it should look like.

      Yeah, it looks so simple but once you go in you realize just how much thought is put into those levels. You should play through various Sonic games and pay close attention how the paths branch and how the level maintains a flow.

  7. I've been searching the entire net for like an hour and couldn't find anything... So, does anone have the tilesets of all of Stardust Speedway (all timezons)?

      Most images from SCD can be found here. The stages are in 128 tiles rather than more convenient 32 tiles, but they'll do.

      Try to think of a way you can implement the "easy green" atmosphere in ways other than tropical islands. Apotos perfectly captures this atmosphere without being a Green Hill copy.

  10. I'm a self-taught programmer, so this beginner's course I'm taking has actually helped surprisingly well! I've restructured my game's physics to be much more development-friendly, and this should further speed up other stuff.

  18. Should I play Eggman Hates Furries? It looks freakin' awesome but I just don't want to have to get a new set of eyes when I'm done (What exactly happens at the end?).
