  1. Even if you two would do the music, there still wouldn't be a game since I don't have anybody to do the advanced scripting... I would appreciate if you'd made the music and since I already planned all through there wouldn't be any surprises left once you finished music making, but if you want to work on project that actually are already in the works, thenI don't mind...
  2. Yes, do you know how to write music on a Sega Mega Drive sound font?
  3. I don't know if I'm late or so, but if you still are searcing, try messaging me. I am pretty much what you search for, since I'm a horrible modeller and artist, but can sketch out almost everything. I am overloaded with work, but still can help a bit.
  4. I have to dissagree with you, fahyda, Dimps can make a good classic styled game, take a look at Advance 1, it's pretty much Sonic 4 how it should've been. If you want more classic, take a look at Pocket Adventure for NeoGeo Pocket Color... I don't think Rush is underrated. While it is the best of the Sonic NintendoDS games (followed by Colors and then, last, Rush Adventure), I'd call it "uncredited". It introduced the boost and the (working) 2D homing attack, something which every game after Unleashed used. For me it is similar to the OVA: good but forgotten...
  5. I may correct myself, Seems that Dimps was REALLY lazy on Sonic Advance 3's music part because there were more moments of music recycle: This https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7dnjX92m3o and this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wMn0RHM2T0&noredirect=1 are simple examples, but what bothers me is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJGTvGY9X50 While it sounds like it was based of Sónic 1's Green Hill Zone, which it is, the part that stranges me out is that, like other Sonic Advance 3 Songs, it can be/ is based of a Sonic Battle track, namely this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUcPydVABIk Also, is it just me or does Amy's Room from Battle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-fy80PTfOs sound like Toy Kingdom from Advance 3? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFjCgmH0KSc Maybe I'll find more, but that was almost the entire Sonic Battle Soundtrack...
  6. I just beat all 5 endings of Contra: Hard Corps in one day! I hope I still am able to sleep with all that adrenaline...

  7. And yet again my posts have killed of 2 topics... Maybe I should use this power to kill of the entire forum... Or not, that'd do too.

  8. Bumb again, now with animated little hand-drawn pictures of the Zones...
  9. Strange has nobody has noticed the similarities between Sonic Generation's OST and every other Sonic game's OST... But now seriously, nobody has noticed this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzCvE5py2B0 At 1:20 sound similar to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0piixxCTmo At 0:15 Also this at 0:06 and this from 0:00 onwards.Which is itself a remix of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDt4FJLH9ww... There is also this: and Seems that Dimps was lazy on Sonic Advance 3's music part...
  10. Actually, Serephim, I was rising Sonic '06 to the level of Sonic Adventure (1)... Sure, the story cannot hold up, not a little bit, but there were some "improvements" (I put the " there because these things also can be seen as "not-improvements") here and there. The inclusion of those "Mach-sections" in Sonic's stages made this game feel fast, something I rarely felt about Sonic Adventure because the camera always managed to keep up with Sonic. Without the moveset of Unleashed they sure feld incredibly broken, but broken on Supersonic-speeds... The improvement of Shadow's playstyle, at least in my opinion, were the vehicles... In both Sonic 06 and StH they feel broken, but here they feel a little better. Also the inclusion of weapons ON the vehicles instead of parallel to the vehicles made the weapons finally useful. Olny the deactivation of autoaim was bull.
  11. Nothing! I'm going so far and going to say that there was nothing wrong with Sonic '06! *gets shot at* Ok, Sonic '06 is not a perfect game. It's not even finished, but it still was a satisfying experience. Sure Silver was slow as f*ck, the physics were "wonky" or "wrong" (depending on how you see it) and there were lots and loads of loadings... But still, Sonic '06 managed to do one thing that almost all Sonic games have in common: It managed to give you something new and interesting to do while "improving" old ideas and gimmicks. For me it feld more like Sonic Adventure (DX) than a fully new game with its multiple different playstyles, open Hub-worlds and the stages entered over the hub-worlds. The gameplay was similary "broken" as Sonic Adventure's. Sonic's and Shadow's playstyles were "improved" versions of their respective playstyles from Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle) and Shadow the Hedgehog, Silver's playstyle was the "new and interesting" that almost every Sonic game has to offer. If it wasn't for the bugs and the gliches, then the game would be at least mediocre if not almost acceptable... Hope you understand my opinion. *gets shot at again* I guess not...
  12. I may be wrong here, but some guy found a song in the Sonic 2 beta, which points itself to be Genocide City's theme...

While it is just beta Sky Chase, it still sound approparate, doesn't it?

Sounds like sky chase on quack zone act 2 acid.

    3. luksamuk

Might be caused by a wrong pointer to the music data of Sky Chase?

I mean, sets the pitch, the tempo, then a pointer to the data, pointing to Sky Chase's notes. Wouldn't be hard to imagine.

Still, sounds more awesome than Casino Night 2-Player when it comes to creepiness...

  13. I want, to be honest, not a straight remake of the old titles. When it would be similar to that Sonic2HD fangame and included beta-elements and new layouts, then It'd be worth taking a look at...
  14. You know what would be awesome? Hideo Kojima mixed with Sonic 4: Mad Gear! Followed by Mad Gear Act 2: Sonic Hedgehog, Mad Gear Sonic, Mad Gear Sonic Virtua Missions, Mad Gear Sonic 2 - Tails of Liberty, Mad Gear Sonic 3 - Ant Eater, Mad Gear Sonic 4 - Guns of Robotnik and Mad Gear Sonic - Nomad Ops... To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a fanfic about that.

  16. Does anybody know where the "Robotnik laughing" sample from Sonic CD comes from?

  17. I have to both agree and disagree with the two of ya. While I too have played the hell out of the classic series on ALL of the consoles there were released on (including Sonic Genesis and Spinball on GBA). I still cannot imagine a reason NOT to taxman S3&K. While this game is already available on all 3 7th gen. consoles (Wii virtual console/Sonic's ultimate Genesis collection for PS3 and X360), these "ports" do not feature the features of the Taxman ports like: 16:9 picture frame, 60Hz frame rate and "new" characters to play. Not to forget the additional zones (Hidden Palace and Proto Palace for Sonic 2). Sadly Taxman doesn't do everything better. E.g. He didn't include (not even as optional special thing or update) the Sonic CD zones R2 and R9. That with Sonic 1 and 2 not being on home consoles was kinda assy from Sega but that shouldn't be to hard to port. Now, to be honest, I am not to hyped for S3&K for iOS and Android (if it will come). I'd like to see Sonic 4 (both episodes together as 1) in Taxman's engine. That way there would be finally something new done with the engine and fans would finally understand Sonic 4 is not that bad and fixable.
  18. I think the reason for the lack of such thread is that everybody can write his/her specialty in his/her profile. As for me: I'm more of a concept artist than anything else. I can concept anything, stage design, layouts, bosses, cutscenes, anything! As long as it is on a sheet of paper, sketched with a #2 pencil, of course... Other than that, I'm more than just untalented, I'm incredibly untalented.
  19. We Hit 3k members!!! Guys! Do you realize what that means? Because I do not!

  20. I'm no professional, but I cannot see anything that will make the physics bouncy... Only thing that seems to be wrong is the jump height. Normally the jump height too is higher (not by 2 but somewhere around 1,5) and the gravity is usually lower (also by 1,5 times). I don't know if this will fix your problem, but you could try and post the result here.
  21. My turn! -80'sOpolis Zone (aka. Vice City) -Space Base Zone (Come'on noone came up with this?) -Egg Plant Zone (This is genius!) -Hot Lethal Fire Volcano Zone (you never can warn people enough times, can ya?) -Evil Green Hill Zone (aka. Hill Act 1) That is all I can come up now, maybe I'll edit this post...
  22. I've been gone for 10 hours, TEN small hours! And now, grammar has died out. So, what did I miss?

Apparently people are on a rampage against people who don't use grammar. That's basically all.

It's not just bad grammar...it's also an abundance of spam that goes with it too. That sort of stuff unfortunately is not gonna fly.

I don't think anyone on staff expects everyone here to type perfectly all the time (hell I know I don't) but at least be coherent and not post meaningless stuff in every topic.

Capital letters where they go, commas, punctuation marks. That's all I ask.

As for rampage, not quite. Although people are being talked to about it. Only one person has actually gotten in real trouble, but that's because he responded rudely AND has been disrespectful towards EVERYONE as of late.

  23. Damn mission 53! I cannot finish Sonic Adventure DX without beating you! But I can't beat you either...

Ah yes, the infamous "Pass the line of rings with 3 Super High Jumps on the ski slope!" mission. Somebody decided to program that mission for shits and giggles obviously. It took me half a year to finally understand how to clear it.

  24. Well I'd be lying if I said it was bad. Even for a first try this stage features simple understanding of layout design, ring placement, multiple pathways (even if just for a giant ring) and gimmick useage. It sure is short, but still had room for little goodies and other stuff. I especially like the 1-Up and the speed shoes above the start, they remind me of Stardust Speedway act 3. I think it's ok, short, but still nice. The only thing that bugs me is the platform with the rings at the start. As long as there is no path up there or rings are required to enter something, then there'll be no reason to go up there, aside from points, of course. But who am I to talk, I'm no Lake, am I? I'm just a guy who's level design has been called "dull" during SAGE. Well, good luck with making newer and longer designs...
