  1. Id still like to know what you mean when you have " sprites are drawed by me" on your screenshots page. Do you mean the backgrounds or the Sonic Sprites too?
  2. You mentioned on your screenshots page that you drew all the sprites yourself. Did you mean just the backgrounds or the Sonic Sprites as well?
  3. Ive played around a bit with the static engine you sent me USC. Ive started from scratch trying to recreate things, so that I learn how things work etc, instead of just using a pre-made engine. Im going to ask some pretty noobish questions as Ive tried searching for platform tutorials without much luck and the main site doesnt have a tutorial on the Absolute Basics. Ive made Sonic my character with Platform Movement. Ive got ground as a Backdrop Object. Ive made it an Obstacle with Collision with Box ticked, but Sonic still falls through the ground. How do I make sure Sonic can actually walk on the ground? I know this is a noobish question, but I am starting from scratch.
  4. Is there a link where I can download MMF 2? As I only have ver 1.5
  5. Thanks USC! I will play around with it and attempt to make something simple to start with. But how do I load the Sonic Worlds Engine into MMF? So I know when Im ready to get into the more advanced stuff.
  6. As the title suggests, Im an absolute beginner with MMF. Im starting my own Sonic Fan Game and thought that since the Sonic Worlds Engine is being used so much, that I will use that. Im not sure how to use the Engine in MMF or how to load it or anything like that. Im going to look at the tutorials on the website to do other things, but I just need help to get started. Please help. Thanks.
  7. Actually the Ashura sprites were originally made by Shock Rabbit in a different style, then I asked permission to edit them, using CN's Shadow sheet and made the new CN Ashura sheet myself. Just thought Id clear that up. You can get the sheet on the Mystical Forest Zone.
  8. Everyone knows that since Sonic games came out in 3D, his reputation has really been falling. So what made the 2D Sonic games so great? This is also research for myself as Id like to make a fangame soon. The Good 1st - In Sonic CD ts actually a challenge, you dont just have to run from left to right, you need to search around for things, you can time travel, destroy a roboticizer to create a Good Future. Then of course defeat Robotnik/Eggmans machine. Such a simple idea, but harder than it sounds. 2nd - The music really suits the stages. They always have. 3rd - The levels and storylines are original with new and interesting characters, not to mention the different boss machines Robotnik/Eggman brings out all the time. 4th - Its possible to play as Super Sonic anytime during the game you wanted after you got the Chaos Emeralds. 5th - The bosses are awesome especially in all the new 3D games, Perfect Chaos, Biolizard and Metal Sonic. 6th - The difficulty has improved in Sonic Heroes compared to Sonic Adventure. The Bad 1st - The other games were too easy to complete especially the new 3D games. Not to mention when you could easily defeat the boss as Super Sonic all the time! 2nd - The camera angles change at the most inappropriate time in SA and appartently in the new Next Gen Sonic game. 3rd - There is only one opportunity to play as Super Sonic at the end of the game to beat the huge boss. 4th - There are meaningless missions like in SA Directors Cut. This could be changed to include something more exciting. Same apparently in the new Next Gen Sonic game. 5th - There is basically no thinking involved, its just running fast and jumping at specific times, no searching what-so-ever, except in SA2 with Knuckles and Rouge which is good. Specifically the new Next Gen Sonic game. In SA2 I wanted more boarding like in City Escape! 6th - Its almost impossible to get "A" Rank in battles, like in Sonic Heroes. To get it you have to complete it in like 30 seconds! What?! These are just a few things off the top of my head.
  9. Actually if you check out the website and the sprites section, you will find there are heaps of ripped backgrounds, special effects, robots, eggmans machines plus loads of other characters. At the moment, Im trying to make quite a few sprite sheets myself, such as Modern Sonic, Tails, Vector, Charmy, plus expanding other sprites people have made such as Matrixx's Knuckles. Its really easy to become a member there and get some connections with other spriters on the forums, so if youre interested then definately check it out! There are lots of great sprites available!
  10. Dimension Warped, Thanks for that clear explanation, its nice to get one for a change. I would actually like to post the sheet on The Mystical Forest Zone Website. www.themysticalforestzone.com So I hope thats ok, from what you said, it sounds like it is ok to do so. I would like to expand the sheet, but from what you said, everything is fine and I will make sure that I write that Matrixx is the original spriter. Thanks.
  11. I really like Mattrixx's SA Knuckles and I would like to expand his sprites by editting Sonic 3 Knuckles sprites to make more in his SA Knuckles style. I checked in his details that he doesnt have any way to contact him. I know its important to receive permission from the original spriter as of course once, if allowed of course, to make more SA Knuckles sprites, that I would put them on a sheet and again, of course, state in the credits that he is the original spriter. Im wondering if there is any way to contact him? Or can anyone give me any advice as to if Im allowed to do this by just putting him in the credits of the sheet? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
