  7. USC, thanks for trying but for some reason your method threw the whole engine out of whack. DragonXVI, thank you very much! I had to add a couple more events but it works now! For reference: 17. avX >= 3 Player is not pressing fire2 bottomcollision is overlapping backdrop ACTION: set avX to 3 18. avX >=3 avX < 6 bottomcollision is not overlapping backdrop ACTION set avX to 3 19. Player is pressing fire2 avX >= 6 bottomcollision is overlapping backdrop ACTION set avX to 6 20. bottomcollision is not overlapping backdrop avX >=6 ACTION set avX to 6 Thank you both for your tremendous help!

Here are my events for running to the right: avX = alterable value x (basically think of it as speed here) 16. avX >= 3 Player is not pressing fire2 OR bottomcollision is not overlapping backdrop ACTION: Set avX to 3 When the player is not pressing fire 2 or is not on the ground, set the speed to a walking pace. 17. Player is pressing fire2 avX >= 6 ACTION: Set avX to 6 This prevents the player from going faster than I want them to. This is the running pace in my game. If I remove the bottomcollision condition, the player will be able to press fire2 at any time to run, but if I don't this event will slow the player down when they jump from a run to a walking pace. I'm not sure where I should go from here. Basically, unless the player is not already running when they jump I don't want them to be able to start running in the air. Does this make sense? Hmm, now that I look at it, even if I were to disable the fire2 button, event 17 wouldn't happen. Because the player "wouldn't be pressing" fire2. I am at a loss on how to counter this issue.
  9. EDIT: This issue has been resolved, you can see the results below. Thanks anyway for looking! For example, disabling fire2 when the player is jumping. In my game, I've given the player the ability to run faster while they hold the fire2 button. But I do not want them to start running while they are in the air. Okay, so I resolved that issue. However, another issue came to me, I don't really want to slow the player down from a run into a jump. I want to keep them from starting the run in the air is all. Hope that makes sense. So I was wondering how, in TGF2, you might disable fire2 temporarily without completely ignoring player control. If anyone could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

  11. Raccoon character to parody Raccoon Mario of SMB3 in a game I am working on. I've gone with Ralphie Raccoon for the name. Only starting on the basics of the engine so don't expect much for a while on that one. But anyway here's the first sprite I did, please forgive the suckage: And compare that to these: Much better, eh? Please don't criticise the animation, I'm not very good at it and I used Super Mario Bros. 3 Mario's as a reference for doing something quick with them. The arrow points to the improved version of the sprite. This sprite was made for the sprite competition at MFGG but the new version didn't make the deadline. No animation as of yet for the new version but it will suck much less than on the previous version, I promise. Sonic, apparently sitting on something. The colors are wrong and that arm looks like it's in pain, but eh, I kinda like it! Excuse the suckage Goomba I did, been a long time since I sprited one. XD Oh and it's not all about sprites! Here's a rose I drew for my mother for Easter. The shape is a little off but ehh. Have I blinded you yet?

  13. I have to disagree with the statement you made that this game was unpolished. The whole experience was pretty solid for me.
  14. Well I already know that much because that system uses the Wii Message Board rather than Brawl directly. You know? I just am not able to share it freely because the Wii I'm playing on is not just me.
  15. After you complete the SSE, you can go back through as any characters that you want to as long as they have joined your party and you have rescued them from Subspace. There's still collectibles and such to find as well.

  20. It's not often I put this much work and consideration into a piece. I think I've learned a thing or two. I'm done updating this.
  21. You know, it's pretty retarded that so many people try to push their opinions on matters as if they were, indeed, fact. You don't like Super Paper Mario. Just because others feel differently doesn't mean they're stoned. Maybe you were pretty stoned yourself when you came up with this bullshit. We'll never know for sure. Anyway, I think this'll be interesting but I really do not enjoy sports games.
  22. I changed the colors of the shoes because somebody commented that they were a little pink, so I made them a darker red.
