  1. Its very nice as usual Euan. But like the others said, it doesn't quite fit. I think theres just a bit too much of CPZ that doesn't make it seem DEZish.
  2. I'm not gonna asskiss. ... Ok maybe a little. This game is superb. I was surpised at what I was playing. I didn't get the feeling I was playing a normal fangame, I got the feeling this was a whole new game. And thats what fangames SHOULD be imo.

  5. Ok so what is Scott I? Its just a little project of mine. No demos or anything, or engine for that matter. Its all concept and mock ups. But its been planned to be a fangame for ages. Problem is I lack game designers, ever since a PC crash, and I suck at making engines. Sure theres Sonic Worlds and Game Maker is fine without the full version, I'm just making the majority of the graphics before I make the game. Plan before making basically. Scott I is basically the Sonic Engine with a crazy twist. Theres no rings, but instead a health bar system. Your health bar is powered by crystals hidden within the level, or inside of item poles. Abilities are far more advance than a classic Sonic engine. You have all sorts of abilities, you can attack, swim (Ristar style!), climb on ladders and trees and more, theres all sorts of fun layout, and its been designed over the years to be as Sonicish and official as I can go. Theres the usual star pole that saves your spot, but now we got item poles, which have all sorts of items. Theres also the "Scott" coins. Collect all 20 in a reigion, and you get acsess to the special stage. (via the overworld) You can also unlock more and more levels as you keep playing, even bonus levels and mini games. So who the hell is Scott? And wheres Sonic? Scott was the first ever pixel sprite I ever did, dating back to 2003. Hes come a long way, but unlike most peoples characters designed, Scotts been the same. Always having brown shoes, a yellow shirt, blue pants and a blue hat. Characters: Scott Reeves: A kind humble guy, whose always ready for adventure. Simple as that. Fun fact: It wasn't till after his full name was made, I realized that was the name of an actor. Attacks: Strike Dash, Double jump, spin dash. Forest Richards: Not exactly too social, kinda shy actually. But he knows Scott well, so hes good friends. His strength is very powerful. Fun Fact: He was the second character I ever made, his raccoon hat was taken out due to difficulty to sprite. Attacks: Ground pound, spin dash, smash dash. Kyle Kitcat: Kyle is a total idiot. He's what makes things funny around here. Hes a playable character, but hes also the boss of each world (but not Gino Harbor and Moon Factory). Fun Fact: His last name is based after that candy. I dunno. Attacks: Air dash, kitty wall climb, gun usage. Angel Gilbert: A girl who loves adventure, and is also half angel. Shes a more recent character. Sorry, no porn pics. Fun Fact: She was nearly canned due to not liking the sprite, but Rael said it was fine. Attacks: Flying, arrow shoot, spin dash. k so mock ups; "Zones" or "Worlds" in Scott I are called Reigions, while "Acts" or "Levels" are simply called Stages. Equatorial Glade Reigion: "Explore a beautiful forest, follow line guided platforms, go deep inside tree trunks, and run up 3D ramp trees (think SCD PPZ). Kyle awaits in the springmobile. Subterranea Reigion: "Go deep down into the lava mines, and cause mischief, and even find gold! But no souviners. The boss is based off my old GHZ boss arena layout from my old S1 hack." Tundra Bay: "The mines lead out to the icy sea, this is where you get used to swimming. Graphics are early, as they're not quite what I want yet. Also based off of one of Euans canned zones from Sonic XG. The boss is like Spring Yards, but on auto scroll." Sky Ruins: lol no data yet Sparkle Park: "Explore the amazing amusment park, and its the first 'Themed' reigion. Something like Disneyland. All sorts of fun things are here, you even get chased by a roller coaster!" Gino Harbor: lol no data yet Moon Factory: lol no data yet Alright thats all the complete general stuff for now. btw this was Raels idea for me to post it. D: I need to learn to program. ._.
  6. Taxman, you never cease to amaze me. But the layout is decent, but not perfect. But its good enough. I just love the talent you have.

  9. Very nice, and something new in fangames I believe. Now for crit. Alright level art, you're mostly reusing level art in an obvious and nonblending way. The grass could use shading on the foreground, and the past pallete looks too much like a bad future pallete IMO. Make it look more "happy and harmony"ish. It'd also be nice if you had all new art, rather than making duplicates and stuff of the original SCD zones. Base your levels off them, but don't clone them. D: The engine looks nice, but I dunno how engines work well so I can't really criticize it. :x Level layout is ok, but its pretty basic. Didn't quite give me a Sonic feel. Study the Sonic 1/2/3/CD layout more. I'd give you a link to a site with Sonic maps, but the sites down for me. T_T Ok anyone disagree with me as you like.
  10. Lovley, but the floor is repeatative, and there needs to be a background, as well as a more natural water color.
  11. First time I've bothered to read about Sonic Worlds. Looks awseome. I especially like the colors of the Buzzbomber. But the black in the hud seems a bit too bright. But its not mucha problem.

  13. The Sonic sprite you're using seems to be one of the old Sonic 1 sheets which has bad colors, try to fix his looks with a cleaner looking Sonic sprite.
  14. I really like the looks of Velocity Zone. Makes me want to play Star Light Zone and Carnival Night again. But the foreground looks a bit plain, add some more colors and decorations to it.
  15. The level names are pretty lame. Chemical Factory was just the beta name for Chemical Plant, and Sky High is already a Sonic stage. (Sonic 2 Game Gear Version, the Hill Top lookalike). And fan characters with official ones isn't a very pretty sight in most cases. Chesire(sp?) Eggman plz.
  16. When you say seven levels, do you mean just a long single level or a Zone with Acts? Personally just have Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman and possibly another character depending on what you think, since you seem to be going for a classic feel.
  17. Iixion already showed me this on AIM awhile ago. The detail on this is amazing, I simply love it, even though I've never played SMRPG. Pedobear made me lol. <:
  18. The only thing I like are the plants. Everything else looks like it was ripped out of another zone and slapped on in a short amount of time. It'd be nice to recolor them to give them a partial new look, or remake the level from scratch by basing it off the GG tiles. The Shadow sprite blends bad and the grass could use a shadow on the ground.
  19. I believe its easy to rip all of the level chunks/maps in S1, S2 and S3 with SonED. I think its able to be done in about 2 seconds.

  22. I am going to make a game but the engine I need is a bit different. It has the same 360 engine Sonic games have but it has Megaman health bar system. I would like someone to make this type of engine for me (MMF) as I have little programming experience. I know your thinking "Why should I help a lazy idiot?" Well I may be a bit idiot but I'm not lazy, so I'll show I'm worth helping. I have decent layout skills in MMF. And some good spriting skills.
