  1. First day of sage is always a good birthday present!
  2. just buy a ps3. I got mine off eBay for 150 dollars Canadian. its a 20 gig but oh well. works, and i don't care about those card slots really. I'm upgrading my hard drive next pay.
  3. I'm hearing mixed reviews on this one, a lot of people seem to hate it thus far, I'm not going to knock it until I try the game out, from what I've seen it looks alright but an actual play through would be best to know if i like it or not. I'll either rent it or download a demo.

  5. hah! What do you know I've got a fan! I'd never give up StH:EC but it almost didn't make it this year if not for Rael reminding me and catching me before SAGE registration ended. hopefully I can do enough to the game before SAGE officially opens up.
  6. *crawls out of grave* Hello. Considering I've been out of the fan game world since last sage, this being the first time I've logged in since then and having a really insanely crazy hectic life the past year I wasn't sure I'd be in this sage but Rael talked me into it. Due to the craziness StH:EC hasn't been updated a whole hell of a lot but oh well, might as well post what little I do have and update as necessary. Anyway, long time no see guys I hope all is well at SFGHQ!

  8. Specialty? Um I suck with collision detection and I'm constantly hammered for stretched tiles (even though I have yet to resize a single one, I'm guessing either the camera is to zoomed in or the sprite sheets im getting are shit) But there are way better programers than myself here. I just try to make games fun with out using someone else engine. I fan game for the experince, not to make the same thing everyone else is while using someone elses engine, part of the fun for me is making an engine. Glitchy though it may be.
  9. Sux for you. I'm no sprite/tile set worker no do i plan to be. I like it, somethigns are a bit pixely and need some fixing but im not gonna sweat it to much. after i finish this game i plan on moving on to other things and leaving trhe fan game world cuz im getting to short on time and there are more important thigns to worry about.
  10. I'm not dead , I swear. Here, have some screenies of Jeweled cathedral. Just started work on it last night. The lava bed rises and lowers revieling the ground you can move on. Just the pixel effects of the jumping flaming rocks coming out of the lava later in the stage

  13. Good job slingerland I had a freakin blast. I got to participate more this year and i had a blst. I got to doo 2 sage casts, one filler and one hour long show which was a longer show then i had dne last year. I got to make a few new friends (inke, and a few others),had some interesting debates, and I was able to over come stage frieght to sing to people lol. And im a pretty self conscious erson so thats taking leaps and bounds for me. I got to hear some old songs I havent heard in years( and promtly downloaded them right after wards heh) and see the talents of the rest of the board. props to everyone for a job well done. Good job slingerland!

  15. Why thank you slingerland lol, and i lowered the acceleration rate aswell, it should make everyone happy i think.
  16. i started over a few months ago man, the old engine was too buggy and built poorly, new engine is way better and more stable. you can see for yourself at sage
  17. yep in built thing with GM7.0 i just use the drag an drop icon to make things quicker but it can be done with coding(scripting) aswell.
  18. Good job. Have some screen shots of act 2 of my game's first stage the spike ball orbits this platform. ( yes i know i need to fix those tiles.) you cant see it fully but this is a gimic with alot of hoops that shoot you around rapidly to gain those rings before landing you in a secret location. Some destructabe blocks to block your way no problem for sonic, just jump up and bash your way through Cant wait for sage. I hope you guys enjoy allt he improvements ive made since last year's build. Starting from scratch was a touch choice but for the best.

  22. Does anyone know a decent way to do falling blocks in game maker 7.0 registered? you know the ones, they're there, you jump oin them and in a few secodns they fall out from underneath you?
  23. I hand drew and animated this etna thing a few years back outta boredom does that count? I didnt use photoshop though.
  24. Wroking on that, I re cut out the checkered pattern as best I could and I used the newer grass I did in the moch up just cuz I like the way it looks. there isnt going to be much I can really do about the pixelation, that in itself is a lost cuase..... But id rather finish this off so I can get back to fixing those glitches with movement.
