  1. Oh crap. Not again. My host is changing servers. The subdomains have been up and down all day. For instance, right when I uploaded it, it worked fine, but it's down again as I check now. Best bet is to try again later.
  2. A few people might remember this fangame I was doing and know that it sucked. Well, I tried again. I think it's better this time and much more Sonicy. So... behold SONIC CHAOS PLANET! A hopefully to-be-completed fangame with a classic experience! PLANNED ZONES 1. Radical Rainforest 2. Techno Terror 3. Crazy Cityscape 4. Aquatic Addiction 5. Volcanic Vent 6. Desolate Desert 7. Hellish Headquarters 8. Space Shrine SCREENSHOTS (I bet you skipped down to these, right? =P) Standing somewhere, showing the increased detail to the levels. Taken in windowed mode for some reason. Boasting my foreground parralax. Looping fun. A level gimmick for Robotnik's Refinery: the conveyor belt. New as of Sept. 3: Loopity dizziness. I have layered levels now so you can pass through other bits of it. See, here we're on the bottom level... ...and now we're on the top. Basically, this is where two paths merge into one. (They split again later on, so I'm NOT being lazy. =P) "Hmm, which way do I go now?" Boing! Wheeee! More of that layering. NEW SCREENSHOTS NOVEMBER 10: Lulz, act 2 w/ gimmicks. New trap thing of sorts. Yay, boss. Simplistic one, though. DOWNLOADING: Demo 1. (Alternate Link) Contains the second zone, Techno Terror. C+C, praise, and anything else is accepted and appreciated.
  3. I have been aiming for tomorrow. It might be a bit of a disappointment, though. I've seen enough Techno Terror while developing the engine to go insane, so Act 2 is short and not as good as Act 1 (from the previous demo with some changes). I'll have to go back to it later. =P
  4. Oooooh, superbly nice. Now I answer questions: Dami: as much as I'd love to say that I'm an uberspriter and made it, it's actually by Kenji teh Kitteh. SupaChao & Felik: The hud seems to gets mixed reactions wherever I take it. But it stays this way. SupaChao: Tentril: those are lights hanging from the ceiling. Just decoration.
  5. I think he means these: But they don't seem like what DW is doing. Which reminds me: any progress?
  6. Mystical Forest Zone seems to have most of them.
  7. CnC, when upgraded to the latest version, is exactly the same as TGF. And I've yet to run into any unsolvable extension problems in MMF2 since I downloaded the first bonus packs. MMF 2 ftw.
  8. OK, downloading that was quite a chore. You REALLY need to get a better host. However, I found out why it wasn't working, using a translation tool: So I had to click the link, then click another site. Then I had to wait until the countdown got to zero, when in a little bar above the ad page it would link me to the download. VERY confusing. I will probably have feedback soon. However if you want more you're going to need a better file host.
  9. It's called Samurize. Google is your best friend.
  10. http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/9339/athlondesktop10162006rc4.png The work machine. No internet on this thing. http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/1228/win3xdesktop10162006ml1.png OMG! Windows 3.1! Yeah, I have such a machine sitting around.
  11. Is this MMF 1.5 or 2.0? I know that 1.5 can't do scaling like that, though there might have been an extension that could. 2.0 can change the size (scale) of an object anytime during the game.
  12. All right, I've been away, and now to clear things up: a) I'm a guy. Eggman's Base is not the name of the level anymore, it's Techno Terror. It is also not the first level, but I went and made it because I do not yet have tiles for the first level, Radical Rainforest. c) I've been slow recently, but tiling is underway for the new version of the level. So far I have added tubes and laser blasters that shoot at you at a slow rate.
  13. I notice that everyone thinks I lie a lot. I just have a poor memory. ;_:
  14. And now... the responses. I'm finding it really odd that nobody is getting performance problems. I'm on an Athlon 64/2.2 ghz/1 GB RAM and it only gets around 45 fps when it should be at 60. I kinda thought so about the decelleration as well. I'm going to tone it down a good bit. It turns out I was thinking of a different ugly stacked thing. I had got rid of that one, but missed that one. >_> I should probably do something with the belts (make them faster or something) The music, sadly, is not my work. Being the poor musician I am, I took the music from the old Psygnosis game Awesome. Actually, Rael, the level WAS made by a different person. Originally the other guy, YesIAmAnIdiot, was doing it, but now there is no team and I dug up some old level design tips I had in order to take the task on myself. I did think I was a bit lacking in gimmicks, but I was so far just testing to see if my level design was moving on to decency. So I'll probably be starting it over. I'll add loads more gimmicky stuff and probably lengthen it a good bit. Enemy AI and placement are not exactly my strong spots, and I was trying to avoid what happened in my SAGE 10 demo (people not seeing them coming and smashing into them uncontrollably). I'm going to attempt more complex enemies-- I've got some ideas that should work out. Thanks for the input so far, because I can see that I am in fact improving. =D I'm going to take a stab at a new level now.
  15. Anyone remember this? If you do, it's not the same as it was before. It was canned for a while and then I restarted it in MMF2. NOTHING IS THE SAME! So... this is my fangame. Story: What story? This is a classic style Sonic fangame. Maybe I'll cook up some unimportant backstory later, but not now. Levels: 1. Radical Rainforest 2. Techno Terror 3. Celestrial Cityscape (more levels shall be revealed as time goes on) Screenshots: Download: September 2006 Beta. READ THE README, as it explains some things. Basically, the beta is not supposed to be flashy and perfect, but is basically so I can get input about the level design and things. I may round up a beta tester or two later, but not yet. Also, if anyone knows how to possibly fix the performance problems, let me know.
  16. Rael: Stacked thing has actually been gone for a few days since I changed the level design there. Xoram: I was just doing that because it was like the original version of Sonic Chaos Planet I did, and also so it could be distinguished at a glance from a normal Sonic game screenshot. I'll see if I do anything about it.
  17. OK, it seems my screenshots of the restarted Sonic Chaos Planet were lost, so I'll repost them.
  18. Uhhh... that's kinda off topic. Use the PM system for it. BTW, I just fixed the URL, so try again if you want.
  19. Realtime priority's pretty dangerious isn't it? It usually causes your computer to crash.
  20. Hey, another Eggman rap! I've been waiting for another since The Real Eggman first appeared. Excellent job.
  21. The original made me laugh. I even think I've still got it someplace. I was kinda disappointed with the Sonic part left out though. FINISH IT!
  22. Enough with the Wiki thing. I think what we need to do is get back all the old content from the good times. I have loads of stuff, some still zipped, and I could upload them somewhere to be added back to the site.
