Feraligatr is pretty good. It's pretty much just a watered down (lolz) Gyarados, though it's very useful ingame. Gender ratios can be unforgiving. I tried for the longest time to get a female Modest Eevee and I gave up after a while, it was stupid. I got my 16th badge yesterday and now I can go do tons of stuff. The GB Sounds thingy kicks ass, I love the old music.

Nowadays, I wonder what Pseudo and Showoffboy are up to. I always admired their art.

That became a joke when my friends got the game. "Hey guys, did you beat Falkner yet?" I got into Kanto, and I love it. Trainers here use Hoenn and Sinnoh Pokémon though, which threw me off.

I had Heracross to Brick Break the everloving crap out of Whitney's team, but she kept spamming Super Potions on Miltank. As in, more than one. That was annoying. I got a lot farther into the game, and I gotta say, there's this really awesome segment right before you invade the Goldenrod Radio Tower.

Already? Good going. Cool beans, SG. Salamence is awesome, too bad you get it at level 50. You know, Joey's RATTATA is in the top percentage of RATTATA because it's different from other RATTATA. You know what I mean? I hate that kid.

I can't wait for the R/S/E remakes either. Does that mean we'll get FR/LG remakes too? In Gen 6, D/P/Pt and HG/SS remakes! That would be awful. Miltank was probably scary because we didn't know how to play the game when we were young. But I put a Heracross on my roster and raped her with Brick Break, so it's all good. Team right now is Cyndaquil, Slowpoke, Doduo, Flaaffy, Exeggcute, and Heracross. Beat Chuck not too recently. His Poliwrath uses Hypnosis + Focus Punch, which completely obliterated my Flaaffy. And I have to add, his Hypnosis hit every single time. Cheating bastard.

Supposedly the next gen of Pokémon is going to introduce some new battle element that will take the series in a new direction. It's so totally going to be...the fifth move! But anyway. I also have tons of shit on my Pearl version, but I'd rather just play through this game with stuff I catch. The PokeWalker is actually neat too now that I've gotten to fiddle around with it a bit. I still want to catch a goddamn Doduo from it though.

I figure it's appropriate to start a new topic for this. I've snagged a copy already, a day early from a store here in NY. I've been playing it on and off since I was at a friend's yesterday, but it's amazing. I'm most impressed with how they added a lot of graphical nuances here and there that really breathe life into the world. It's damn cool - things like lily pads in the water, empty patches of grass where items used to be, and a lot more stuff like that. I didn't use the PokéWalker yet. I don't think I will much, either. Right now I'm just enjoying the game.

Wow, from one of those screens it looks like the first boss can slam the wrecking ball into the ground. At least they're trying to change it up a bit, that seems okay to me. Also, I don't know if it's been posted here, but the achievements list has been found (a while ago) and Super Sonic appears to be playable in all levels again.

I don't know either. Anyway, check this out: Budget cuts? Wtf? Aside from just Bubbles, did they also just slyly hint that all badniks are gonna be recycled or am I reading too much into it?

That wrecking ball is damn tiny. In the original, it was almost as large as Robotnik's pod itself. Now it's, what, twice the size of curled-up Sonic? And the screen is wide because of it being HD. Unless this boss has some new attack patterns (like faster movement, at least), this battle looks to be horrifyingly easy. Also, rehash...awesome.

Oh wait, Dimps is the developer? Fuck.

The other thing I'm worried about is how there are no new badniks created in the style of the old ones. The video of Splash Hill Zone showed Motobug, Buzz Bomber, that chameleon bot, and we know about Masher and that Mystic Cave firefly thing. And Asteron too. I love old school just as much as the next guy, but I wish they'd make some awesome new badniks for us to rip apart. It's probably too early to say there aren't any, but I'm growing more doubtful as stuff gets revealed.

Yeah, the jumps were so damn floaty. I liked Sonic standing on the wall, too! ...The engine looks like crap. And I don't know why, but "Press the START button" is irritating. It's so needlessly wordy. Oh and Asteron is back the zone select shot of Mad Gear Zone.

I really like the concept art of Motobug, actually, but the model on the site makes the whole badnik look like a wheel rather than a robot bug. For one, its head is so damn flat. It's squished. It'd have looked better if they rounded it off, since the main body seems to be spherical. Lack of shading and/or camera angle makes it hard to tell, though, but I think the head is definitely weird looking. And for the first countdown, this was a bit (I lied: extremely) underwhelming.
