  1. I don't know why, but I felt like more thoroughly decoding that. Still some holes. The space bar is spotty and the letters ORTUW are missing.

For Project Spikepig, though (iv) have no netbook (kni).

I'm posting this on my mom's netbook, which has a broken keyboard.

I'm supposed to get a new netbook, but (alMa) didn't deliver it, so my mom cancelled the order.

It seems I won't be able to do something for SAGE.

  2. Hello SFGHQ. I am here to toot Ristar's horn.

The bottom line is: Worth it. Seriously, his work is fantastic. If you're really set on your project, go ask him for some tunes. I've been listening to a new piece of his for a while, and it is beautifully composed and the atmosphere is spot-on. Hell, you don't even need to take my word for it - check out his Vibedeck and sample some pickings. I am 100% sure that my other team members agree with me that Ristar is a professional presence and his work is top-notch. The guy has to make a living, you know, so throw him some bones!

  3. Also saw 21 Jump Street. I went in with fairly low expectations and walked out hugely satisfied. It's pretty damn funny - I do, however, regret watching it at a place where tickets are $13.50 a pop. !#^@

Also, it's not a movie, but I've been watching the BBC series Sherlock. Each episode is an hour and a half, so they're easily movie length. It's an incredibly solid modernized adaptation of Sherlock Holmes. Also, the cinematography is excellent. Check it out.

  4. Thank you guys for the feedback! I've made note of everyone's suggestions and will definitely work on the points you've mentioned.

    Couple of things:

    - I've been so used to looking at that running frame that I never really noticed the wide face. I will fix that - there's still improvements to be made on the sheet as a whole! As for the skin, no one has ever noted a problem with it, but I may desaturate it anyway.

    - I cranked out the Super Sonic title image far too quickly; I wanted to see how it'd look. I'm glad you brought that up because a fresh perspective is invaluable. While I intend to keep it a little closer to the originals (that is, no antialiasing), I'm also going to up the color count a little to smoothen out the whole thing in general.

I am, unfortunately, really busy nowadays, but I will finally not be as busy after this week. Sounds like the same excuse I've been telling the other guys for the last couple of weeks, but the end of this week will be a much-needed breather for me. And then it'll be an intense burst of ET work.

I should also update our banner sigs. Eventually.

  5. I've caught Doctor Who before, it's a fun show. This game honestly doesn't look like anything much other than a generic platformer featuring the show's characters, though.

Also: I thought SuperGiant (devs of Bastion) were making this game so I was incredibly excited for a second.

Turns out, the studio behind this game is called SuperMassive. :<

  6. Thanks guys!

I'm using a whole bunch of programs, pretty much the core standard for most motion designers:

    - Illustrator for most of the vector work and the typography.

    - Photoshop to retouch the vector stuff, to make style frames/storyboards, and other general stuff I can't do strictly in Illustrator.

    - Cinema 4D for 3D modeling.

    - After Effects is where I drop all this stuff in and turn it into a video. More involved than that of course :D

    - and Audacity! For miscellaneous sound audio editing.

P.S. The audio isn't particularly great in the Sonic CD video but I needed to make the contest deadline. I was gonna work on it all last week, but I procrastinated...because I was playing Sonic Generations. Sonic procrastinated me from Sonic.
