  1. If you want to look at it that way, technically everything since Sonic moved into 3d is a spin off, still including Heroes. Heroes is no closer to the original games, IMO, then the adventure series. Hell, it's even farther away with all that team crap. 3d, linear gameplay = Major change from multi-pathed, 2D gameplay. Regardless of whether it's still platforming or not. But, really, this is getting way off the topic of STH.
  2. How, exactly? Because, if I remember correctly, it shares the same storyline as SA2 and Shadow, and if those are spin offs, than so is Heroes.
  3. I love you in a highly platonic way. With people constantly going back and forth between hailing this as the god of sonic games and total ____ as information is slowly released and leaked, I think people should just withhold their judgement until next month when you can actually get a taste. alot of things sound like ____ on paper and turn out fine in game, and visa versa. also spoilerz. Mephiles kills sonic. I'm waiting for someone to arbitrarilly scream "YOU BITCH, YOU BIIIITCH!" in the background. </joke from over a year ago that's no longer funny at all.>

Actually, the whole last story plot was leaked Via Sonic CulT (And their info was prooved legit, incidentally, by the official SOA bios matching up with the bio sheet CulT posted about a half a month back that most people were skeptical about). But I'm not gonna post it unless, you know, asked, since it's lol spoil3rz.
  5. Agreed. PEople have had a big issue over having so many playable characters in a Sonic game for a while, but I think the issue is less how many there are and more how they're implemented. Having limited playtimes with other characters in the storyline and then having them unlocked to run through stages with after you finish the game > Having 8 or 9 different story modes.

  7. The first one was generic spider man, Spider man 2 was a sappy love story, and now Spider man 3 is going to be the emo movie. I can't wait. Actually, I'm somewhat interested in seeing it next year. Sort of.
  8. Sort of, sort of not. I've seen... Either all, or all but one of the series. The one thing I would really look forward to for this movie is watching an old, wrinkly stalone do fight scenes. Kthx.

  10. Bump =/. No, we aren't dead, just progressing slowly and quietly. Like a ninja, but much less cliche. A Marble Zone map is coming along orgasmically, at the moment. I can't wait for public screenshots to be released so I can show them around here, it may cause more self-pissing than sky sanctuary zone did (which is even bigger now, though I can't show any new screens of that either. =/) What I can show is an improved super sonic aura and our new chaos emerald look. It's not much, I know, but hell, it's something. More... Whenever. Maybe in another month, maybe in another two. Definitely not longer than another 2, as the second preveiw video of the TC is set to be released in September. Shiny.
  11. OmgZ? So, I'm supposed to be staying shut up about everything, but I figure Dekrayzis won't get too pissed if I give you guys a tiny, bite sized portion of a proper update to at least solidify that we're still alive. Basically, a new rig has been started for the playermodels to include a facial expression system (so basically eyelibs, a mouth, that sort of thing.) and some more animated places to add detail to animations. Also, ADR specific animations have been started to replace default UT04 stuff. Hopefully the melee combat system will start soon after and we can yank the guns out of these furries' hands.

  14. 1. For the last time, we haven't implemented melee combat yet (sorry, nothing personal, I'm just highly irritated at unrealated matters right now) 2. that's just how the model's made. We took a poll of what people wanted, majority of the team chose the default heroes style. 3. Define transition? It's damn near impossible for sonic's model to actively transform into super sonic's in game. Once again, sorry if i sound a little snappy, I'm irritated at some stuff. Supa chao: No, actually, he's not. all characters WILL use standard melee attacks in game, and classic sonic game moves.
  15. looks nice, although the flame shield didnt seem todo anything, and super sonic didnt seem any better others looking good, and nice maps flame sheilf boosts you forward, just like the normal one, it just lacks a flame trail, and it makes you immune to fire ____, just like a normal flame sheilf would Super sonic makes you invincible (until your rings run out, at which point you become sonic again) He's faster, and he jump pretty high. These are things you'd actually have to expirience though to realise.
  16. First levle = UTo4 level, but most levels are going to be dark anyways. Anyways, in hindsight we figured out we left quite a few things out accidentally, but that's ok. You'll see them eventually. Also note: Disturbed wasn't our choice of BGM >_>.
