Main thing I want want to learn is putting in sprites. So what would be better for a game to use? Spritesheets, or single sprite images.

I'm love effects. I'm not too keen on 3D. I love 2D art. So, most of the games I will create will be high qualtiy 2D sprites with awsome special effects.
