Was great. I'm constantly amazed by what all you guys here did with the Sonic Worlds engine. I loved the disappearing/reappearing platform gimmick in the third act.

So I watched the video, and it looks really nice. The artwork is great, and it looks like it's a solid platformer with good level design. Based on the video anyway. My only thing is, I can't help but feel you're limiting yourself by tethering it to the Sonic universe. Especially since Sonic isn't actually in it, I think you could have a real good original platformer. Your characters all look unique enough, with I guess the exception of the purple girl having spikes on her head. The other two don't really look like they belong in Sonic. If you replaced some things: Their running animation to not look so Sonic-y, change the rings to something else, change the springs to something more unique, change the item boxes, etc. Things like that. I think if you change a few things you could change it to a Sonic fangame with fancharacters to your own awesome original thing.

I hate that line of thinking. "It got your attention" is like when people say "all publicity is good publicity". Bad publicity is bad publicity, and will likely turn people away. Like I dunno a dude shits on your car and and you're pretty mad about it but he just goes "any attention is good attention!". Likewise, this kind of trailer does nothing but annoy people, especially when they say "oh hey a trailer is coming" and oh... oh that's just a trailer saying this game is coming? Didn't... didn't we already know this? I suppose I come off angry about that, and I'm really not. Episode 1 was bad so I don't expect 2 to be any better. But I think it's silly to go "It's okay that the trailer showed literally nothing worth watching cause it got your attention!". Negative attention I suppose??

Apparently this game is balls-hard and I really don't feel like playing a super hard game, so I watched some playthroughs of it on youtube. Super impressed by the boss fights I saw. Some really creative stuff there.

Sonic 4 didn't break any cycle. It was garbage. Agreed on Colors though.

yeah and it's possible to have friends that aren't too, so i don't see the point in downing the online option because there's a single player mode

Sonic Colors restored some of my faith in Sega (after Sonic 4 stomped what was left of it into oblivion), so I'm somewhat hopeful for this. The classic Sonic segments LOOKED correct, but we'll see how it actually feels to play.

Teaser trailer was released on facebook. It literally shows zero gameplay. It does however, show a weird 3D version of green hill zone where parts of it are grey and parts of it are in full color. Current sonic is running through it, jumps into the air and splits into two Sonics, one of them looking and running like his old school genesis version (smaller, black eyes, etc). I have no idea what they could hinting at besides remaking the old games in 3D. Honestly if they were to just do something like this notorious video I would be ecstatic. We'll see.edit: Forgot to give Sega props on how gorgeous the animation is in the teaser

Got to filddle with it cause a friend took it home earyl. It is awesome from what little I tried of it. The 3D screen is really cool. It doesn't strain your eyes like glasses or the virtual boy did. And the angle you'd be playing it as is what you need to get the 3D to work right anyway. And you can turn it off too. Also it can take 3D picturse. All in all it's a really cool system that I can't wait to have the money to get.

Bah all the starters suck this generation, I don't even have mine in my party anymore. My current party that I'm grinding up to deal with the elite 4: Krookodile, Archeops, Chandelure, Gurdurr, Cofagrigus, Escavalier Archeops and Chandelure are the best. Few things seem to actually hit Chandelure, and Archeops is lightning fast and is rarely ever beaten to attacking first. edit: The TMs being infinite use is the BEST change ever

1) Double cheeseburgers are so good 2) McGriddles are godly 3) those holiday pies they had during thanksgiving were incredible, so dumb they were limited time
