  1. Oh, my bad.. that wasn't really what I meant.
  2. I think we both know I wasn't really commenting on Sereph. I was simply making a point about the video you used to stir up this discussion which was, quite frankly, the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. And whether you've heard of it happening on other consoles or it's happened to you is irrelevant. It's a known issue with the Xbox 360 and, quite frankly, it's just one of those basic rules like "touch the power supply or wear an anti-static strap"- you take the disc out first. To whoever said it: When accidents happen involving something that isn't under warranty, the user generally does have to pay.
  3. A lot of people would argue it didn't on the latter, but I'm not one of those people. I do believe the original SA handled it a bit better than it's sequel, though.
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's clearly saying that the jumping animation being a tad slow (in comparison to the old games) doesn't really change the way it controls. And really, on both sides of the fence (apparently), these journalists talk about a whole lot of crap that doesn't actually matter. This isn't even a preview, really. His largest complaint, and the only one that he elaborated on, was that the homing attack was cheap and I imagine he could easily just not use that attack. He's basically just mirrors complaints he's heard before and he could've easily have not played the game, visited a video game forum instead and come to the same conclusion. That's some serious BS. I disagree- you can probably home into something that might normally be a bit too high to reach via a regular jump and- bam- instantly not a redundant feature. I could be wrong, and someone correct me if I am, but I think you can probably get through most of the original games without using spindash or rolling. Are those redundant features? Often times when you're straight-up required to do something in a game it ends up feeling canned, so options are always nice. Also, because it's just so, so good: Of course, depending on the paths you might have to anyway, but not necessarily every five seconds like the guy who wrote that.
  5. I just plain don't dig the on-rails feeling of Unleashed, so I'm not completely sure the powers/multiple paths will fix that for me, but here's to randomly hoping. It's pretty though.
  6. Sonic Adventures 1 and 2 actually had pretty good stories. And Sonic Adventure did a lot of cool things with character development. Unheard of, I know.
  7. I call so much BS on this pricing stuff. Sure, it's pricey as hell, until you consider the price of buying multiple Wii Remotes + Motion Plus + Nunchuks. Or multiple PlayStation Move controllers. So it's not really that expensive at all. Excuse me sir, but he picks that console up and rotates it to a completely new orientation. Unintentional nudge is randomly a 70 degree rotation. I'm really with Andrew on this: "Why the fuck would you move a console when the disc is being moved ANYWAY?"
  8. Really? That's the first highlight they list? Instantly discredited for me. All the highlights are pretty stupid and have little impact on game play. It's all just surface bs.
  9. Yea, I keep seeing that mentioned but I haven't heard anything about how exactly it's going to work. Like, for starters, how exactly do you get it to the device in the first place?
  10. Geeze, I could've sworn I replied to this before. But Happy Mirthday all the same!
  11. Yea, I saw that, but it was very surface stuff so I'm kind of skeptical.
  12. Eh, different strokes, but fair enough. The Kirby game looks pretty weird. Not sure I like being able to see straight through him, but I'm sure it'll work fine in motion and I'm just being a tool.
  13. Oh come on. My only complaint is that it's not as painterly as the concept art, but I can live with that. Edit: On the subject of painterly, I hope Epic Mickey is as awesome as Castle of Illusion. Edit 2: Wait.. how powerful is the 3DS exactly? I just went to Nintendo's E3 site and I see Kingdom Hearts listed (and Super Street Fighter IV).
  14. I'm guessing PS3/Xbox 360? The 3DS graphics are hella nice. Wasn't really expecting that.
  15. I find it interesting that the 3DS has a home button...
  16. I largely believe it doesn't even matter. It'll happen again. I remember seeing some news report on the subject of Offshore Drilling a week ago and the viewers were asked to state whether they believed this spill would affect the offshore drilling movement (or something like that). It doesn't matter, because these sorts of things will happen- it's just the nature of the business. All the talk of offshore drilling reducing dependence on foreign oil is crap- it's just a temporary fix. We'd still be dependent upon oil, a resource that is eventually going to run out and ruins the environment/kills animals/destroys livelihoods when this type of thing happens.
  17. Maybe a few spots where you can see straight through to the background? ::shrug:: Edit: Also, I'm assuming this is called Hexagon Hill or something, right?
  18. I've already got Sonic Adventure for my Dreamcast... although, for the right price, I'd totally snag a copy for my 360. On a side note: I still really hate that the Zune/Xbox Live ecosystem runs solely on points. I wish you had the option to just charge as well- I hate randomly having 8 pts that I can't use, and I don't want to buy more because I know I'll eventually have more unused points. ::shrug::
  19. I appreciate you wanting to argue on his behalf or something, but it's whatever- we're discussing someone else's deleted comment about a questionable game that I probably will never play anyway.
  20. It's whatever, man. A one. A two. A three...
  21. Yea, that was a mistake and an honest to god accident. Gonna fix that now. I was actually only referring to the bit where he talks about the overuse of Casino levels and stuff. Most Sonic games start green, include a pinball/casino level, some form of sky level, an underwater level, and a machine level. It's not really much new Also, I've no idea what post is being discussed. So.. ::backs out::
