  1. Epon; Read my post. It's been suggested before and it can't be done on Emuzone. =Smidge=
  2. At this moment, the reason I'm the only one who can update the site is because it's still hosted on emulationzone.org (hey, it's free, veliable and there's no bandwidth limits that I can see...) The forums are hosted on a different provider. Basically, updating the site requires the "keys" (usernames and passwords) which I'm reluctant to pass out. There is absolutely ZERO support from emuzone and the only account that still works is Rlan's - which also has access to SOST. That makes me doubly reluctant to share the info. If I redesign the site, and host it on sonicfangameshq.com along with the forum (same account) - then I would have much more control over things. That means I could set up FTP accounts or even script based uploads, build a working news system (emuzone's newsupdate script has been dead for almost a year, and I edit the HTML by hand to add news items) and other potential improvements. I will admit a complete lack of interest from the community is not a good motivator. I've been through that speil before so I'll spare you from it again. If anyone wants to create a new skin for the site they are mroe than welcome to do so. It is not especially difficult, though it requires some basic HTML knowledge. For now, I'd personally like to focus a bit more on SAGE and get that out the door. =Smidge=
  3. I can't imagine a proper crossover because it is well established that the two "universes" are entirely separate. Specifically, Haruhi is an anime series in the Lucky Star universe. The Haruhi references are beyond blatant however, and Kagami owns at least one Bonta-kun plush and has a yaoi thing for Sousuke. =Smidge=
  4. Oh snap! So long, suckers! *cashes out* =Smidge=
  5. I have added Blues to the "Miserable Users" list, because he's a miserable user. Enjoy your stay at SFGHQ, Blues, assuming you ever get this page to load properly... Also, I have decided to no longer turn a blind eye to his doppleganger, MetalAshura. I have merged the two accounts accordingly, since it doesn't make sense to have him spread asshattery across two accounts... especially when it results in abusing the rep system. =Smidge=
  6. http://smidge204.homeftp.net:84/SADXData.txt So old it's got mold on it. Useful when used with CheatEngine though... =Smidge=
  7. I don't have any brand loyalty to Intel or AMD - I just buy whoever has the best overall performance/$ at the time. (Figuring in costs of mainboards, too, since they need to be a matched set) I used to joke about "AOL for Broadband" when it frist became available, comparing it to buying a brand new sports car and then filling the trunk with bricks. Vista fits into that analogy just as well, and the mental image of someone proudly proclaiming they filled the trunk of their brand new sports car with bricks because "it improves traction" and "it didn't cost all that much more anyway" is, quite frankly, hilarious. =Smidge=
  8. I should hope so, but XP, 2K or lately even some breeds of Linux (gaming-wise anyway) will also do that. Then I guess you don't really need the power. 10% is quite a bit of processing oomph on the latest gen of CPUs. I like the fact that I can burn a DVD, encode DivX video at reasonable speeds (>20fps), RAR up the dailiy SFGHQ backup set and play "Frets On Fire" all at the same time with absolutely no hint of glitching or slowdown anywhere. Why would I want to sacrifice a healthy chunk of my computer to eye candy? I'm baffled by this, because in both my professional and personal computer experiences, Vista takes to new lows what XP did to hide, change or otherwise obfuscate important system configuration and maintenance tools. I've only had the "pleasure" of setting up one Vista PC so far, though. I can get a naked box running Win2K (my fav OS) in under an hour with all but the most obscure hardware working fine, and not much longer for XP. It took me almost that long to get a Vista laptop working with our office wireless network because everythng was so automated that, if it didn't work the first time, it'll pretty much never work. If your only criteria for choosing an OS is pretty colors, maybe you shouldn't be offering recommendations. =Smidge=
  9. *deap breath* AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Holy shit, that's funny. If you want to "get the most" out of your computer, pick an OS that doesn't suck up all the resources for itself. =Smidge=
  10. Seems lke all the parts fit together. I'd suggest saving $125 by not getting Vista. You can also save about $60 by going cheap with the case, and getting one with a PSU already in it (Case + 450W PSU can be had for as little as $30) but you get what you pay for. Personal preference is to get a cheap case, since all it needs to do is hold everything together anyway. That video card only has DVI outputs, just be sure that's good for your needs. =Smidge=
  11. Those are cicadas, DW, not locusts. =Smidge=
  12. I just want you to know that the Love Bugs are the modern equivalent of locusts. In other words, God is pissed at Florida. I can only guess why, but the fact that Florida is the only state with an official Fark tag is probably related in some way. =Smidge= (Florida sucks.)
  13. *Casts Necropost Level 10* Bwahahah! Anyone who hasn't been watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan needs to start doing so. Anyone who hasn't heard of it needs to be beaten within in inch of their life, then forced to watch it Kubrick style. Linked 'cause it's actual resolution. And yes, I do keep my desktop that clean, thanks for asking! http://www.sonicfangameshq.com/smidge/smidgetop.png =Smidge=
  14. Watch Conqueror of Shamballa. It continues the series and I was most satisfied with the ending. =Smidge=
  15. I think I found your problem, DW... Yeeeeaaaah... =Smidge=
  16. Bear in mind that Anime is just like any form of entertainment. I happen to injoy the visual stylings (much better than most western style animation, with notable exceptions of Don Bluth productions...) and stories, although stories are usually hit or miss. I tend to enjoy things with a good balance of action and comedy, although "dark" or fanciful stories are also good sometimes. Anything "terrestrial high-tech" I'm all over (space travel is meh). =Smidge=
  17. I have yet to notice anything that really sets the episodes apart from each other. =Smidge=
  18. When I see shit like "Hamtaro" it's no wonder I bitchslap Ila regularly. =Smidge=
  19. Here's my list, which is a copy of one I keep updated. It's pretty much comprehensive of all the anime I've ever watched, ever. Bold titles are recommended viewing. Italic titles are recommended for AVOIDING (ie: it sucks) Bold Italics are REQUIRED viewing. Get your ass onto boxtorrents and download them. Now. Items marked with a * I have not seen all of yet (usually a work in progress) but I've committed myself to finishing. =Smidge=
  20. Since you didn't alter the location of any of the sprites, they're still good. Well, they wold be good even if you did, but the CCARip program can generate lookup tables that can be used to reconstruct the sprite animations. If you plan on making a game or sprite editor in C++ or whatever, these lookup tables will save a LOT of work since you won't have to redo all that. It's in the program documentation. 4) OPTIONS ---------- 4.2) "Generate Lookup Table" ---------------------------- On by default, this will produce a DAT file with the same name as the exported BMP image. This file contains raw frame data which can be used with any programming language to reconstruct the sprites and animation sequences. The format of the data is as follows: DWORD ID of Object this frame belongs to DWORD ID of Action within Object this frame belongs to DWORD ID of Direction within Action this frames belongs to DWORD Frame number of animation sequence within this Direction DWORD X location in file (upper left of bounding rectangle) DWORD Y location in file (upper left of bounding rectangle) WORD Height of image in pixels WORD Width of image in pixels WORD "Hotspot" X (Generally used to align frames in sequences) WORD "Hotspot" Y (Generally used to align frames in sequences) WORD "Actionspot" X (Generally used as a point to create/reference other objects to) WORD "Actionspot" Y (Generally used as a point to create/reference other objects to) Basically, I'm guessing you deleted the DAT files. =Smidge=
  21. I know this is probably a tad late but... I don't suppose you edited any of these sheets manually, and discarded/neglected to make the lookup table too? Those files contain the information neccessary to reconstruct the sprite animations. If you rearranged the sheets then the lookup tables are useless. :/ =Smidge=
  22. The site may be up but the files are missing. Besides, these were probably "infected" since the day they were made. I'm rather confident that it's a false positive given the time it took to get detected, but the database entries for those files were removed as a precaution. =Smidge=
  23. This morning, AVG Antivirus informed me that some of the files on SFGHQ were infected with the "PSW.Generic2.WIL" trojan. This may or may not be a false positive, since the infected files were all ancient, however I scanned the archives from site before the renovation and confirmed that they also tested positive. As a precaution, the infected files have been removed from the site. If you have downloaded any of the files below then you should update your antivirus software and scan your computer: Game: Ultimate SoniChaos by MagicgrafX Game: Legendary SoniChaos by MagicgrafX Game: SoniChaos Revolution by MagicgrafX Tutorial: Dark Sonic Ultimate Tutorial by ThunderDragon Those are the files that tested positive. I apologize for the trouble, but apparently they have been infected for years and never been detected - one reason why I believe it may be a false positive. However! Better safe than sorry. =Smidge=
