  2. Ain't nobody got time to make another video (sorry I had the sudden urge to get that out) So here's a screenshot. Spindash is officially added! Just some fine tuning and it'll be good! Unfortunately due to how I setup the logic you can't turn while charging but you CAN while actually in the roll. I might set a seperate button to roll. But currently there isn't any actual reaction to terrain so it'd be mighty useless besides running into enemies I guess :C Maybe after I finish this and Reboot, I'll get into Python scripting and make an all new engine. So yeah, here ya go!

  4. It kinda is really bright man : / Buuut, on to more blender things! Sonic Game Engine (Adventure) (too make it sound fancy!) : It sort of carries over the 8 direction movement AND rotation. I may lower the rotation time so jumping feels more fluid but things are coming along good. I may add either a roll or a spindash, enemies, and maybe dashpads and springs but I gotta work on Reboot (which I'm doing such a great job of doing v.v) But I feel if I can get it to feel right enough many people could use it to make pretty decent through good 3D fangames with it, all depends on how well it comes out and the person using it I guess. If I can figure out this whole export as game thing I could provide a test of it but- what do ya' think? C: EDIT: I forgot! It also provides a Walk - Jog - Run Cycle animation change through the logic bricks! It might be a little jittery due to having the YouTube video up in the background but you may be able to tell.

  6. I've been working on some Blender engines (Sonic Engines) experimenting and trying to figure out control types and just how Blender game engine works in general. I'm trying to also learn some Python but after I probably am gonna work on my Fan Game before I make any more progress on these engines- I'd also have to learn a couple things before I can even make any progress. 8-Way Direction Movement based on Camera (Akin to BlitzSonic games) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP4ROfheM1k&feature=youtu.be Rotation Type Movement (Akin to most Blender 3rd person games) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHSDBJLTVKc

    I was thinking of distributing this engine but wanted to know if anyone was even interested. Program: Blender 2.69

      Sounds good to me. Blender would be a good program for a Sonic engine because it's free and requires minimal programming. Though it could use a few built in features like a spindash, homing attack, and a player model other than Playdough the Blobhog.

I just realized no one has asked many things about the actual composition of the game (or I just missed them ) So question, how is the overall world handled is it like one of those big adventure worlds where going through stages is from going to a spot from a hub world type thing? or is it like Sonic where you flow through each stage seeing the envirorment change as you go and seeing how it ties into where you are from a story perspective, akin to S3K. Or is it just a level to level type thing? And are there any collectible upgrades through the game akin to your Sonic Chrono Adventure? (the second one is a question I've meant to ask for awhile)
  15. Aye.... It's looking really nice! Buuuuut my fear seems to have came to fruition. I'm liking how it looks and the programming looks superb but the whole looking too much like 06' thing is really... jarring? The levels may be less glitchy and the game more polished but 06's idea's weren't the best. It looks really good presentation and gameplay wise though! Okay I'll spill the beans, honest criticism is better than half baked, so here we go. (Keep in mind this is just my personal preference) I don't like 06 too much. Good idea it had? Yes but things could be changed and such. This looks like it's making the same mistake as Sonic 2006 2D where it has great programming and presentation but sticks far too closely to it's origin. You have a lot of potential with this project and I don't want you to stop even the beta version of this project looked great but this one has got my hopes down, not to make you feel bad. But it's like just polishing 06 at this rate rather than "fixing" it. It's your game, do what you want with it but I feel that it could use a higher top speed and a quicker acceleration. The controls in the beta video you had shown earlier looked pretty good actually, Sonic was faster, homing attack angled downwards, he accelerated more naturally. Just my two cents and it still looks good just less enjoyable.

  24. Exclusive Leak! Overbound is working on the next Sonic 4 episode alongside Tax(es) And Stealth(sneek) with Mr. Lange. It appears it will resemble Sonic Adventure 1's BIG gameplay! Along with a couple music tracks from DucksOnWheels and an exclusive sneak peak at Sanic Vroom that is to be released in 2015 being the game counterpart of the show of the new Sonic Movie!
