  3. I think it looks pretty good, but that's my opinion, huh. I just want them to pick a style that worked and make something that's substantial throughout. As Serephim somewhat mentioned they have ideas and even gameplay that works or could work, really well- but they throw it out next title or when it gets "stale". They have to switch it up just to keep people entertained, which really isn't true at all but they think it is for some reason. I Personally wanna see SA2 Sonic and Knuckles and SA1 Tails return BUT make their level objects GET TO THE DANG GOAL. Every once in awhile for story purposes having different objectives is cool but a whole game with the SA2 gameplay of Sonic, Knuckles, and (Mechless) Tails would be beautiful and just build on that... pls D:

  6. I have to agree with you- Hydrocity is the best! I can't get it out of my head even if I just barely hear the song. The visuals were so amazing and so pleasing. It's overall, probably, THE best Sonic stage I've ever played. So many fond memories even though at that time I was bad at games It made me happy by just entering the stage and even though when I got level select to work, I still decided to just go to this stage sometimes. I think by how much I played it is why I probably don't do much or think much of it now but it still cuts the cake as the best stage I've ever played. The design, that freaking amazing music, the visuals, how much I actually felt as if I were in the stage. It's amazing. I would have actually taken this level over Sky Sanctuary in Generations hah it's that good to me. Makes me feel like going back to replay it right now!

  8. "Why so serious?" - But not in any sort of argumental type of thing, but why did the Sonic 1 : MNL derail get so serious (Admin's post that is) I thought that is was just in good fun. Nothing more. Specially in a topic as such. Now if he seriously had sceenshots of that game and stuff that would be bad, but I thought it was just a humorous tidbit since the topic was well, not really much of a topic.

  11. I concur with Zig and Taz. Using number ratings are most likely not a good idea, IMO unless used with very descriptive review. but still they're eh. Also reviewing a beta is a tad early. A demo yeah I can dig that a bit more than reviewing a beta but as your first effort I'll bite. Still haven't watched it yet but maybe soon.
  12. this game runs really bad on my pc I'm not sure what it is but I can't even get myself to get through the first level it's so bad. Hopefully theres a way you can fix this, I really wanna play it!
  13. And behold.. They are about almost done! Not only that but I'm testing out a mouse look cam, if I ever need it for future reference. But the main chunk is the slopes. I can start building back up. I also fixed up the ligthing some. I think the person who added the slope script for and helped me learn some may have fiddled with it. I'm not sure but it's shaping up! Oh and don't look at that glitch where I went through the block, you didn't see it.

  15. I really adore this game. I really like where this is heading and I hope you can get some level designers so we could see a full experience come out of this one! There's a lot of characters but it doesn't really bother me (since I like most of them) but also because they're just there to play around with even though I pretty much just play with Sonic. One problem is that I hope you could change the rotation "speed?" when going slow it seems when going slow you can turn from one side to the other on the drop of a dime which in studying SA2 for my own purposes didn't really happen, otherwise I really am liking where this is going!
  16. Well I booted up an old version of the "SAGE engine" that was before the enemies and stuff while my internet was down. I added an actual light source, that works for the most part. No more randomly dark face and a look into slopes! They actually work. The last version I screenshoted didn't let sonic move left right or any other direction besides forward. So I asked for some help and got this result: Now just to fix the wonky weirdness and have it keep angle better. That's all for now.
  17. I've played this one quite a bit actually. And... something always felt off. I think it's just how you've set up combo's. I just don't think that works in a Sonic type battle game and especially not with a keyboard (well at least to me) with how much I use the electric upper cut (can't recall the name atm) in Tekken Tag 2, I was able to get accustom to it but it really feels weird and awkward to do in such a speedy fighter. And doing combos like the cpu is almost impossible in that regard seeing as the controls you setup to do the "special" or more powerful moves are weird to execute during combat as those inputs were designed for, slower paced fighters. I also noticed that everyone is super OP in one way or another which, IS NOT, a way to balance the game. The stun on some characters moves are ridiculous especially with how much health they take. Like emerl randomly crouching and suddenly he... mind crunches you? It's like half the characters have these type of moves which are just plain, what? I mean some of them make sense, look cool, and seem fun to execute (I can't do them) but when getting hit by one or guarding it and still having your health drained by almost half is wow. Now I said they "look cool" but that's if they even have any graphic to begin with. Sometimes the screen just fades black they go into a random pose and.. mind crunch you... to death.. 88% of the time. Unless you were guarding in which case you loose like half the health. Now while there are some OP moves, in comparison there are some moves that aren't even worth touching. They look like they're gonna do a whole bunch a damage and... the opposing character is still barely phased. Like Sonic's time stop which only freezes the character for one hit and takes 1/3 of your special meter. I had a couple others I was thinking about but can't name them off the top of my head. I actually like this and think it has something going for it but I hope you could try and polish it up some and at least try to address some of my issues.
  18. Yes that'd be a great help! I actually like this game a lot. The camera is 1 out of 2 of my woes with the game. Because sometimes jumping on enemies is hard but otherwise I think this is a pretty great game. The level design feels open and offers a multiple path at most times. My only other complaint is that it takes away the mouse. It's for the camera I guess but I normally don't use my mouse in pretty much any game that offers it. Can't wait to see more from it!

  20. So, to my knowledge this is still a very early build/work in progress, so I can see a lot of things still need fine tuning. The disable range of the screen is a tad too far close, leading to pop-up. The camera's movement is really weird, it seems it's lagging behind Sonic but not at the same time. It only seems to lag behind when jumping for the most part. The engine you're using could use some adjustments to the collision detection or more or less the angle detection. Some angles it refuses to go up but that also leads into the level design. I'm not sure if it's more the level design that leads into the detection problem because some places go up very steep inclines, leading to Sonic stopping dead in his tracks. Causing for very abrupt changes of pace. Overall the presentation value looks pretty good (need to fix of the tiles and things but overall pretty nice), I liked the waterfall gimmick in the main meat of the demo and it was an okay time. I'm looking forward to what else you have to offer!
