Haha, someone pointed out that "Lost Worlds" might be an unintentional reference to how X-Treme basically disappeared into the void after it was canceled, only for hints of it to pop back up here. I kinda' find that clever. Also, I noticed the boost wasn't present; something tells me my muscle memory might be a problem if the controls are laid out similar to Generations/Colors. I'm also hoping that we get plenty of diverging paths and such, and I'm pretty damn sure Eggman is showing back up, unless the Badniks naturally roam Green Hill Zone now.   2. Welp, Sonic Lost Worlds has me all riled up for more Sonic stuff. This game should be coming out any day now, and like everybody else out here I'm ready to get the full AtS experience! (And given SCA's speed of development, that following soon after!) Also, I need to ensure my Ipod won't explode when I download songs from this on there. :B

I dunno', I do get lots of Nintendo-style vibes so far, and maybe that is rather annoying, but I also notice that the geometric architecture seems to be coming back full-swing, so that's a plus in my book. I hope the enemies are as appealing as their Generation's counterparts, given the redesigns.
  4. Aside from the fact that this game is a fan prequel to Sonic 1 in the intentional vein of LakeFepard's works? Hell, I think he even allowed us to take residence in the fanon. In any case, part of my own motivation was to help make this partly as a thank-you to Lake for all the great shit he's done for the fans, and for all the inspiration he's given us. Think of it as a fangame of a fangame, I suppose. Name gripes aside, we're also trying our best to come off as less of a full-fledged rip-off of the actual "the Sequel" games in general, and more as a spiritual continuation of the mythos. Amateurs we are, but try we will!...besides, I'm following Jass's lead on this too.

You'll have to excuse my being for arguing such, but the new tornado looks like a nearly spot-on version of the Sonic 2 Tornado, except lighter and more rounded: I'm not sure what intrusive details you are referring to. Granted it DOES look a little large, but still. We can both agree on the fact that this game kicks ass so far. I'm kinda' hoping Cash Cash comes back to do the soundtrack again, but that's just me.

  8. Hey DerZocker, are you going to make any more Sonic-style sprite tutorials? That grass tile one really helped me out quite a bit, and I'm curious to what other things I might be passing over.
  9. Hmmm, I do like that flower, though I do think we should opt for more original graphics for Frozen Foliage: it would be very glaring with all the original tiles so far. The Ivy-Sicle looks nice, though I was wondering what was up with it's eye for a moment before I realize it was put toward the front. Think you could increase the size of those sprite previews for Ivy-Sicle and flower to the actual size compared to the Sonic sprite? EDIT- Oh wait, that's the correct size. Derp.

  11. Alrighty, can't wait to see. Also Sound Team, while you guys are on a roll, I think this would be sweet to remix as the Game Over theme for the game.
  12. Another tile contributer, eh? Stuff like this keeps the project moving right along, it does? Got any sprite work to show us what to expect from you? EDIT - Also concerning the different look to the Little Transister; it partly comes from both the concept, and is based on my template for badnik android designs from my own project.

  15. This is pretty much both of them finished up. I may tweak them a little later on, but this is it, I suppose. What do you think? Also, I cast my vote for World's Smallest Violin. With a dubstep/violin heavy track :V Holeh moleh. Man, you've really done these guys justice! My only nitpick would be to make Twitch's gills a little longer and the eyes a little "taller" (think oval-ish, like wrapping over the shape of the head). As with the last badnik, can we see these in normal size? I'm also tempted to set one as my avatar, despite my editing labor over my latest one. EDIT - Haha, I might go with something along the lines of that. "World's Largest Transistor" was an initial title idea, but I'll have to see. That would beg the question of how to get something akin to this to smoothly go into dubstep.
  16. I'm workin' on 'em man, I'm workin'. They're tough for me to do on account of me trying to spruce up an otherwise bland yet staple zone trope of the series.
  17. Haha, already thought about the dupstep bit - which means I'll need some help with that one. :V What did you think of the example of GG's tiles so far Jass? Very WIP, but still.
  18. It just occurred to me that no Fepard-style Sonic game is complete without a "World's Largest *noun*" boss [theme]. I'm tempted to steal that title for my boss, but I'm sure a more suitable home could be suggested.

  22. Just suggesting spherical shading or something akin to that. Honestly, I'd probably just suggest to check out original badnik sprites for inspiration as well. Also, that's a pretty unique theme song. :3
  23. So far, it's pretty good. Any critiques you have will help greatly. May I pose some sprite quips? You may want to visually show the hair connecting to it's bottom half; though it is implied, I wanna' see how it looks. Also, for the brow hair itself I wanted to imply a hairstyle similar to this in some respects. Sorry if I'm making you change things up a little bit. :B Concerning shading, perhaps for rounded areas you could do highlights similar to how it's presented here? Although I do like those hair highlights. :x Also, I don't know if the eyes should be shaded; it's implied they're bright lights, in a sense. But that's just me. And the mouth should be black.
  24. I was referring to my comment about a softer intro for Act 1 on your Soundcloud. Also Jass, Paint.net keeps crashing on me, but I'm putting together the [very] initial tile ideas as we speak.
