  1. Rawr, no pressure at all dude. I immensely appreciate the emotional gesture. Potatobadger, seriously thank you. Let me know a little bit about you (or another person) and I'll start working on it asap.
  2. Hey Everyone! Recently I was awarded the IGDA Japan Scholarship to attend the Tokyo Game Show this September, one of the largest international video game conferences in the world. This is a such a gracious opportunity and it has been my childhood dream. Unfortunately, travel costs are more expensive than ever. Even tapping into all of my savings, it's just not enough. I need just a small push to make it across the Pacific Ocean. For those of you not familiar, I am one of the composers for Sonic: Before the Sequel and After the Sequel. I have recently worked on console titles such as Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, and The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. I contribute to video game communities, and part of the chiptune and fan game groups. I included rewards for those who can donate more money. The most optimal is $30, where I will write a personal theme song for you! I want to eventually make a positive change in the video game industry by reaching new audiences and sharing my musical knowledge with the world. Every little bit helps and I will personally thank each and every one of you. http://www.gofundme.com/3iykj8 Thank you!
  3. We're on kotaku! http://kotaku.com/theres-a-new-sonic-out-on-pc-its-a-fangame-and-it-lo-514601798
  4. For the record, people like Falk and I didn't do BTS/ATS to increase portfolio work. All of the composers love the Sonic franchise, and we really enjoy working with Lake. I can only speak for myself but right now I can't work on more fan games because I need to work on projects that can generate income. There are tons of young musicians like us who are hoping for an opportunity like this. Show them that you are dedicated, organized, and have an actual plan of how and when you'll complete this game.
  5. There's 60+ original tracks in the game, and a few extra (not so) secret remixes. On that note, there are a couple of tracks which aren't posted on Soundcloud until after the soundtrack is released.
  6. HHZ Cutscene from Act to Boss is filled- I finished that puppy up a few days ago.
  7. That's like the final fantasy of sonic music.
  8. I'll be damned if there isn't at least one track on the sound track that people like. There's so many genres and styles here it's kind of filthy- I don't expect people to enjoy every single track. Let me put it to you this way- it OST is aiming to be a total of 3 hours of music. 3 hours.
  9. i would but i run a mac aint that a bitch
  10. there are recordings of me playing arrangements of BTS/ATS music on the piano this may or may not surface depending on how I feel about the quality
  11. My suggestion (very similar to what I posted in the ATS sub-forum) would be that each person who is designated to work on a zone would feature a guest artist to collaborate or remix an act. Granted because the bar is very high we might not be able to accept certain submissions, but I think if we allow the community an opportunity to become involved I think it would please everyone to most extent. I imagine an ideal process during the production phase where: - The lead composer of the zone produces three out of the four levels (3 acts and a boss) of that zone. - A slot becomes available for anyone whether inside the ATS team or anyone in the sonic fan community to submit much like an audition to take the ideas of that composer, or work together to produce the last track.
  12. Hey there! You have some neat ideas in your compositions and arrangements. May I ask which DAW you are using? I think the next big step that will "mature" your sound is learning how to mix and balancing levels. This skill set is hardly noticed by a normal listener, yet they can feel it when it bothers them. Having a quality mix will let people appreciate your music substantially more even when you had the same exact composition and sound design.
