  1. The... Render? ...of Sonic reminds me of 3D Blast for some reason, I can't decide why though.
  2. You know, this may be a little early, but I think some light sourcing would help.
  3. Ahaha, love you guys too. I thought you knew me better than that-- You know I'm not actually trying to be mean. Yes, the game looks great, that much is certain. Why should I have to point out the brutally obvious?
  4. Bouncing off that... You ever go outside, Lake? I mean, you could take a laptop with you and keep working, but jeez.
  5. No problem, anything to get a Chao Garden 3. If I knew more about the A-Life system, I'd offer to help out with the mechanics, but all I can do it send you to where I do my research for Chao raising. Here we go. EDIT: I can tell you that I know of 7 stats that Chao have... Power Run Fly Swim Stamina Luck* Intelligence* *You never see these stats, and the doctor doesn't tell you about them. We know that all animals increase Luck by 20%, and Chaos Drives increase Luck by 40% (100% = level up, and reset to 0%.) We know Intelligence, as the name suggests, affects the Chao's ability and speed at solving puzzles in Races, and perhaps how quickly it recognizes toys in the gardens. Luck seems to only affect how often the Chao falls into trap holes in races, and maybe how often it gets crits in Karate. It is unknown what affects luck, though we assume for now that it's determined at birth along with everything else, and does not increase ever.
  6. Well, here's all the Chao related sound data from SA2. Please note that the Network Success tune is also used when a Chao's stat levels up. EDIT: Would be wise to include the link. Here.
  7. I can help out with texture art if you want, but I suck balls at modelling, especially box-modelling. (Taking a box and turning it into something with the knife tool.)
  8. I confess, I'm a total sucker for Chao Gardens, and this has just won me over. Good luck, and good day, sir.
  9. Yes, you could do that with any file, even a .ini or a .txt... Doesn't matter, just make it check for a specific file and unlock shit if the file contains the right stuff... But I agree, Unlock DLC is pretty damn stupid.
  10. Oh, gotcha on the model part now. Call me crazy, but I still like the jerky responsiveness of the Dreamcast games much more than that of the newer games... I like my control, and my weight, and my momentum... My physics. I just wish they'd try it again some time, and make it less buggy, because this is no longer the era where bugs are a major issue, right?
  11. IMO, SEGA just needs to looks back at Adventure 1 and 2, and thus fucking remember how Modern Sonic controlled at his best.Generations, for both Classic and Modern, was incredibly clunky and somewhat unresponsive for me. When I first played Classic, I expected competent emulation of the Genesis physics. What'd I get? Nothing of the sort. It felt like a Castlevania game. Modern? Pff, he controls like a cow...! Same model... More polygons? That would mean it's not the same model. What I'm saying is that it's the same model, just retextured... Oh well. Defending the Wii's hardware... Ehh, not so much the hardware as a whole, but just that it's polygon budget isn't as bad as it's RAM makes it look. I will openly admit that the rest of it is... Economical... (AKA: Shitty.)
  12. No, Sereph. ^Colours Model Looks that way, huh? Especially since I don't really see much difference between PS3 and PS4. (Let's not start a shitstorm though.) What the shit. Woah. I read about the first one there, second one I kinda' figured, because it makes sense that the effort would go into the hands.
  13. Exactly, and for that, if using MMF, you need Patch-Maker, which costs another what-- $80?
  14. I know they do that often, I'm just kinda'... Assembling a list?
  15. Oh, sorry, I didn't notice somebody replied. Are you sure? To me it looks the same, could just be the lighting engine that's different. Like textures, lighting can make models appear more rounded. Since the HD version of unleashed is next-gen, and the Colors is a Wii game, it would make sense that the lighting in Colors would be inferior. (No, the Wii actually doesn't have a huge problem with drawing poygons... Polygons are the least of the Wii's problems.) Something else I just found... There's an Egg-Robo model in SA2, but I don't recall it being used anywhere... It's clearly better than the Sonic R model, but not a whole lot... Perhaps it was a debug enemy?
  16. Create a giant box where the event takes place. While overlapping that box, enter a QTE state (slow movement, button promts display) If successful, enter the desired state. (Moving rather fast at an upward arc.) It's not as complicated as it seems at first.
  17. I... Kind of admire your gumption... At the same time though, as DW implied, you're in a little over your head with all that "EPIC AwESOME!!1" stuff. (Learning more comprehensible grammar would help too.) DLC - I wouldn't even think about that yet. It's very, VERY hard to do with 99% of tools, and even then, not all creation tools/programs are even capable of DLC. Zombies - No. Just no.
  18. --Any image editing software can do spritework, even MS Paint. And most beginner programming tools have their own image editors. --Google. --Characters do not matter at the moment. For now, just use a solid colored box as your character, worry about the visual details later.
  19. When I said catch-up I meant catching up to the PS3 and 360 with the Wii U, as opposed to the Wii.
  20. Gonne try not to screw up my first post on this topic. Well, I didn't see the conference, so I'm just now reading up... Is it just me, or did they just shove more RAM into a PS3 and call it a PS4? Maybe I haven't read enough yet, but that looks like it's about what they did. Can't blame them really... The Wii U was Nintendo catching up... And going ahead, but they caught up. Why do we need a "PS3.5?" The Wii U, XBOX 360, and PS3 are all we need, and they're about all we can do in a home console until the next breakthrough in technology. (Cold processing, I hope.) Sony, why are you doing this?
  21. Actually three more... .aif, .aiff, and .s3m. Hmm, now if I knew how to make an extension, I might be going somewhere.
  22. By "codecs" would a VLC plugin count? Or would it have to be something compatible with WMP in the system32 folder?
  23. Well hi, I've been gone a while. (I'm sure it was great while I was away, heh-heh.) Anyway, I'm just wondering if there's a way to make MMF2 run a .adx music file... Currently listening to some .adx stuff in VLC and it seems like a nice format. Plus, I doubt converting it to .ogg will be terribly fun, so, again, I'm just wondering. And while I'm at it, are there any other obscure/complex formats that one could force MMF2 to chug through?
  24. Hmm... It looks pretty neutral, but there are the hips... If one where to try and think of a gender for them, they'd come up with female.
