  1. Ahh, that makes sense. His hands are probably tied, or at least for the most part.
  2. Are you actually working with Mr. Senn on this? It'd be pretty crazy if you were.
  3. I know BrainScratchComms did a commentary on it, and they linked to a YouTube video which, to my surprise was the whole movie... (They were commentating on that. They just gave out the riff-trax for the actual commentary.) ...I'll see if I can find it. EDIT: Found it!~ Oh, and here's the riff-trax, if anyone want's it. EDIT2: I'm currently downloading the movie from the link above, so if it gets taken down, hit me up. And just for your information, I do own the official VHS cassette. (It's white, pretty distinctive.)
  4. It looks nice, but I can't tell if the pixelation on Sonic is intentional. The pixellated outline tells me it could be, but I still almost wanna' say that you should try to find (or create) a higher resolution version of that render.
  5. Click on the object. This will bring up it's options in the left pane. Make sure you're in the Display Options tab. Scroll down to Transitions. Set Fade In and Fade Out to whatever you wish, though I recommend Fade, From / to: Background within 34ms... For both Fade In and Fade Out. EDIT: It looks bad, making all that stuff pop off the screen, but I know I'm not the only one who skims things. EDIT2: Oops again. I forgot to mention that this only works when creating and destroying objects, but it's a lot easier than creating completely separate animations just for fading things in and out.
  6. You know what CISPA reminds me of? Socialism. Applied to the internet, of all things. Safe to say I'll be on this boat, too. Though I'm not sure I'll participate in the blackout, I'll certainly exercise restraint from using the internet.
  7. I think I've seen this before, but it's still pretty interesting. I do love how much SEGA loved to re-use things back in the day.
  8. Accepted. Took a while because my family is congregating at Grandma's house to see the family that flew here from Boston for Spring Break... And her internet is a little flaky.
  9. I could help out with Scenario now, but I can't do Spritework and stuff until I have more free time. (Scenario would be best done in PM's or some order of private chat, like Skype.)
  10. I'll help you when this (school) term is done, alright? Still got a few months to go though.
  11. Perhaps an MFA containing just that frame and bit of code would be helpful.
  12. It's already implemented, bro. Mine shows up. Besides, you could always list it in your signature if you need to. That makes you the second person I've ever met who uses AIM.
  13. Assuming the tracks are the same length and synched, you could just keep track of the current time of one of them with a dedicated object, and then read that time when you start playing the second track, so you can skip to that time on the second track before the volume is high enough for the player to hear. All this would involve is a very large value in one object, and two audio layers. EDIT: Oh, and don't reset the value unless one/both of the tracks loop. That way you can switch back, ya' know.
  14. Can't you just use a kind of... Miscellaneous Values Object to store values and flags, so that you can set those off and react to them, instead of using Fastloops? Fastloops are more reliable in faster games, but Flags and Fixed Values should do the trick, right?
  15. I'm willing to forget the real one in favour of this, aren't you?
  16. IMO, as long as it's not as bad as the real Sonic Genesis, which I know it won't be, then I don't see what everyone's problem is.
  17. ...No~t really. You can try to copy most of the stuff, but it's nigh impossible to just port everything in one sweep.
  18. I heard about this at lunch today... Is it true there are flying whales on fire in the trailer?
  19. Sprite-mixing, that's what. Add some sonic-styled shading to that Waddle-Dee and it'll be genius! EDIT: I found the sprite you used, I'll see if I can do it sometime if you want.
  20. Oh god, still going on about that is he? I just remember seeing a wall of text forever ago about something like that. It sounded stupid then and I'm sure it's just as stupid now.
  21. That is the greatest thing! It's evil, but it's hilarious!
  22. Oh. I didn't even notice this topic. I third you guys in thinking it was Eminence though. Anyway, happy... Super-belated birthday to... Person I don't know... "Ducky." EDIT: I know he was banned, but I don't remember for how long. Was it permanent or something?
  23. In my experience, it chokes just running with 500 single pixel objects that have ring-like gravity going for them... It's kinda' stupid, but whatever. It's not often that such things happen anyway, so it's not a huge deal.
  24. Ahh. So that's actually a real thing, not just some stupid anti-Sonic thing people made up. Wow~... And yeah, I've been to tCRF before, but I still went on an hour long Wiki-walk... I'm prone to those. EDIT: Now that I think about it, that's why some people go batty when I post links to wikis, huh? They don't like me prompting their own walks. Understandable.
