  1. I guess i'll probably use something i can actually, well... Use. =P Like MMF2 with Sonic Worlds, and photoshop, even though photoshop is way too expensive. I guess i can call myself a Game Designer but i sure can't call myself a Game Developer. Also, 3D? nah, too soon.
  2. I'm probably gonna have to make an indie game sooner or later but so far i'm not able to afford the software and hardware to make one. You know, you can always (-censored-) stuff for making a fan game, but for a game you're gonna sell, you better have all everything original and clean. @Rawr Hi there.
  3. Nah, no problem. It's just that not everybody likes having fans asking questions, trying to talk to you and etc. All the time. I don't really mind it but you know, i'm not the only person working on this fan game.

  5. @DarkchaoX10 Aside from sonic's sprite and a few re-used graphics from the original games, it's all me. @Aizen90 actually, there's more variety inside the dome them outside of it. which only has about 2 different buildings. @Betaman I was going to try that but ya know... too hard... takes too much time...

Also, there are possible solutions to problems you'll face in sonic worlds. Anyway, when i was just starting working on BTS i didn't know how to program too. what you have to do is just explore and pushing yourself and one year afterwars: i had a whole game done. And hey, if you need somebody to do the programing, level design and art for you, what are you going to do? =P Story? If so, i heard there's a lot of really good fan fiction floating in the web. (no sarcasm, just like the's good and bad fan games, there should be good and bad fan fiction)
  8. nah, it's probably going to get done in time. falk seems confident that it will. it's april already but there's still a month to go. Edit: also, we were going to make some sort of "april fools joke that's actually true" saying tee lopes is now part of the team, now that falk finally got contact with him, but tee lopes is busy with other stuff so... yeah. can't do anything about it.
  9. less talking, more screenshots (yes, it's a screenshot from ATS and no, the release is still on the "end of april") Now each tile card now shows the name of the person who did the music for that specific stage.
  10. The songs people are most waiting for, FFZ act 1 and 2, are all done. Act 2 might not be what you expect though but it's still a great song. Aaand, i'm not sure if it was really falk the one responsible for it. Anyway, it seems like we're making progress, slowly but we are and hey guys, we still have a month to go.
  11. Fun fact: that thing in the BG (which i call the Sky Empire btw) was one of the eralier graphics made for this game. @fumetsusozo you time travel using time portals in certain zones.
  12. Finally finished this and I can show something related to the time travel concept. I guess it should be dissapointing to hear but the time travel is more an excuse to re-use content instead of an actual gimmick. Still, there will be some interesting things related to it. (Keep in mind that i'm really reusing a lot of content of ATS in this game. The reason is that i tought i wouldn't have any more time to work on this because of college and reusing its content would help me finish the game a lot faster and, well, actually finish it. Turns out things are going faster tham i expected so... there's nothing to worry about.)
  13. I'm and i was aware that people would get pissed/turned off by the kirby power ups. But i'm willing to take the risk since i'm not really trying to make a game for anyone here, i'm making the game i wanna make. =P Anyway, NO! they aren't mandatory, they are only required in 2 levels out of about 50 being one of those 2 levels part of the special levels. Enven though they are hidden in almost every level. And about sugar splash... Yes, sugar splash doesn't have a boss. The reason why is because when i designed sugar's splash boss it was fine but as the game went on it became very lackluster compared to the rest of the game's boss battles. So what did i did? I scrapped it and made another one... it was still very lackluster and i couldn't really handle it so i waited a little bit and later decided that suger splash shouldn't have a boss and i should move on and work with the rest of the game. And trust me, i think i made the right choice, what you guys know about ATS are from the SAGE demo and the trailers, but there is a lot more you guys haven't seen yet, and boss battles aren't a thing you guys see very often. If you read all of this, whem you get to Redhot Ride's boss you will probably know why i tought i made the right choice. Anyway, there's an act 4 to sugar splash? No... instead it plays the end of level cutscene which is there to hint what the ring above the parhelion peak does. afterwards another cutscene plays introducing you to cyan city and falk's awesome cutscene music. =P Edit: Btw, it's great to see sfghq getting more active lately and it's awesome to see new fan games emerge from nothing. Keep it up guys.
  14. Hey, i do go outside! =P Working on stuff get stressing after some few hours. But anyway, my secret is basically... Well, instead of playing games the whole day and wasting hours with MMOs, i work on my stuff... that's pretty much it.

  19. oh, no, i'm still keping my "end of april fail-safe". but i at least got in contact with falk and now i know the reason why i haven't seen he anymore and that he is still working on stuff, but at a different pace. @Aizen90 i hope more people do the same =) making sfghq more lively is something i really wanna see happening. falk says he isn't working on a track, finishing it, releasing it and moving on, he is working on a lot of tracks at the same time and yes, i sent him an e-mail about this already.
  20. quite a lot actually. about 2 zones are completly finished (cutscene music included) can't really make a list, but FFZ's act 1 and 2 have new original tracks now. being the second act different from the old one but still great. EDIT: never mind all of that, got contact with falk again and things seem to be going at a normal pace. he is just occupied with real like stuff. "demn you lack of communication! aways screwing me up!"
  21. if the soundtrack is completed before april them it will be released earlier, but i'm afraid that's not really going to happen. =( oh, and yes, i'll still include the tracks that are finished.
  22. alright, guess i should just say it already. So, Maxie was gone quite a while ago and now... well, Falk is also gone. But he is in a better place now... oh wait, no, he is still alive, but working with inportant people. Now, i've set a deadline that i don't really call a deadline, i call it a Fail-safe. If things remain the way they are i'll just release the game the way it is and call it final. yes no more versions, that'll be the final one. alright, there is no need for a wall of text here so... ----- The Fail-Safe is set for the end of april. -------------- so, yeah, guess that's some sort of release date.
