  1. @ZigZaX those who never used IE and probably windows 8 users... =/ i'll see if i can find a way to upload all of those to youtube so you can just pause the game and see the animation before making progress.
  2. It's almost done guys, there's only a few almost finished tracks left and of course, a final beta test and the game will be released. for windows and probably mac too. (sorry mac users, no cutscenes for you guys =/)

  4. @Shinbaloonba & Aizen90 De was mostly made to introduce and expose the player to the past. Aslo, the reason he looks a lot like Sonic?... i had that huge sheet shinbs and jayden made for sonic so... why not? also i can't sprite characters very well The reason that he looks a lot like chrono (now his name is Gerem) is because of the whole chrono trigger's dark ages influence in the setting of the past's surface. And he's also a mix between something made by akira toriyama and sonic so... i thought it would fit...   5. Here's a bad Gerem artwork in made for class... The spikes and everything are pretty bad and not consistent with the game's sprite.
  6. @Salazard Don't feel bad about it. But since player's expectation before playing a game are important, if they don't see knuckles there after a lot of speculation, they will get disappointed. And that's not a good thing.
  7. Just so people won't rise more expectations about knuckles: Nope, he is not in the game at all. The story focuses completly on sonic tails's adventures and eggman's plot to conquer the world. And the cameo spot is occupied by Mighty.
  8. Don't forget Sonic has been in the hands of soo many different people and Sonic CD was the first time this actually happened. Sonic CD was never meant to be a sequel/prequel to any game. It is its own title and it's meant to stant alone among all of the other classic games, just like Chaotix. Anyway, as said in BTS aftermath: BTS happens in a place called Flower mountain land. ATS happens in... i dunno, Angel Coast? aaaand Chrono Adventure happens in Anarkand, south of Angel Coast. (it was supposed to have a meaning but i dropped it)

  10. Not like how i explanied here, but yes, they do. Story mode is basically: play the game with no worries. And classic is: get all caos emeralds to the good ending.
  11. Yes, tails does have a new sprite. you can notice that if you look closely at ChaosLord's avatar. Also, we have a pretty big surprise for those who decide to play trough all of the special stages. And yes, you can choose if you want special stages and the chance of getting a bad ending, or no special stages and an automatic good ending. They are called, respectivelly: Story mode and Classic mode.
  12. Yep, the chart is outdated. but if the soundtrack is 100% complete? well, no. think like this guys, the music guys have been working like animals for a whole week, give them a little bit of time to rest. still, we also have a cover art coming up soon
  13. Oh, if you guys like snow levels, you'll just love Chrono Adventure. Anyway, might be because i've never seen snow in my life or something or it's because it's easy to make good graphics for it. @FLAMEWAR. About putting pressure into people: it was falk's idea. =P Also, this doesn't really aplies to maxie's RRZ, as far as i know, he has been working in those tracks for quite a while. The reason they are the way they are right now is probably the same why FFZ's boss sounds like something out of Metro Madness Zone which is basically because of this image. It's the pacing falk wanted for the music in both BTS and ATS. Oh and here is a quick list of the placeholder tracks i was using before: FFZ Act 3: Splash canyon, Sonic Riders FFZ's Boss: RRZ Act 1: Hot Head Bop, Donkey Kong Country 2 RRZ Act 3: Both the placeholders and the original tracks are fitting, they are just different. EDIT: oh, there something i think should say: There's no such thing as "Sonic Music". @Wombatwarlord777 Yes, Breakfast Time is in the main game. You guys will see once the game is released
  14. oh yeah, about that mighty race... it was scrapped, just like SSpZ's boss =/ There is so many things i scrapped in this game, including a whole section of CCZ act 1 which was never seen to the public (i think i still have it somewhere though) Also edited the post and made that image into a spoiler. it doesn't really spoils much of the whole game and i'm sure there's still a lot of surprises awaiting for you guys, expecially towards the end.

Oh, guys, i'm not sure if i should post this but i'm doing it anyway. if you wanna track the progress in the soundtrack, just check ou this .png image from time to time. as far as i know, Falk himself is updating this thing... so yeah, we're really close to calling this a finished product. @About HHZ's special level music It was intended for PPZ act 1 but i tought it wasn't very fitting so we moved it to HHZ's special level.
  16. Just to make it clear here: Sorry if the game is not going to be released today but we're really close to completing it and i don't think there's a reason for me to release the game without the soundtrack anymore. So, yeah, just wait a few more days.

And if you get to beta test and don't come back to me, i'll shame your name in public. Sorry, i've to do this. Beta testhing is NOT like playing the game before everyone else.

  21. (This is by no means a spoiler, but if you don't want to read it it's fine) Keep in mind falk said "Dream Dance Zone 2". Not "Dream Dance Act 2". Anyway, Dream dance zone has been spoiled bit by bit but just enought that you'll sill get surprised. not just from what it is but how it plays and looks. (if you play it on classic mode...) So... Almost no one at this point knows what DDZ actually is and won't until the game is released. All i can say is, yes DDZ IS another zone, and it's NOT like Doomsday zone. instead, quite different from anything you've seen so far for a final zone in a sonic game. (see, there's a lot wating for ya)
  22. @Infinity_Alex Dude, the easiest thing to do if you're having a unsolvable problem like that in worlds and in the beggining of a project is to scrap it and restart from scratch. (i mean starting again with a frash copy of worlds) i think i did that about 2 times before i actually got the hang of it and started BTS. And if you have new sprites and such, you can always copy and paste things. Also, sfghq has a forum for those kinds of problems. Back to ATS: for those who want a release date: I'm probably going to release this game as a surprise just like everything i release but we're still far away from this day. @Infinity_Alex hey, there's no reason for me to hate on you anymore. I recive messages like that all the time (people that want me to make a fan game for them) that's why i get kinda mad at them. But now you're just a ragular member of sfghq and you're actually posting here, which makes this community more alive, which is something that makes me happy. =)
  24. Well, again, i'm not a very competent developer. The reason why a lot of people say i'm creative with my stuff is because of my lack of programming skills. I can't recreate stuff from the original sonic games, which for the most part, is actually quite hard to make, and i use my head to make new things that are easy to make and therefore, different from the original games. It's something i think i should have written about in my worlds guide. If you can't do something, DON'T DO IT, instead, think of something else you CAN DO. Still, i'm almost sure there will be at least an 2 or 3 year gap between my last fan game and my original game. So, in conclusion... people, stop idealizing me. Some of you are probably 10 times better tham me when it comes to developing a game and even art.
