  1. yeah, so i'm going to call it sugar mountain zone now... i'm not trying to be offensive but i'm going with the alliteration route. i know it's is possible to bring creative ideas without using the alliteration but i just dont care, seriously so... Glucose Glacier Zone? Sugar Skid Zone? Sugar Swamp Zone? edit: "Glucose/Glycolysis Glacier Zone" was in my mind for so long that i thought them were perfect for the zone, it still reminds you of sugar but doesn't reminds you of food wich is something that kirby games do a lot(Grape garden...) @Ristar nah, it's just normal water but i think i've made a gimmik that has something to do with it

  3. Anyone got a better name for it? well, it kinda makes sense with the concept, i think @Ristar it is sugar but, yeah it is supposed to be kinda dirty, after all, you are stepping on it
  4. you guys can feel free to use BTS as an experiment to see if this way of working works. And then, when it is done, you guys will have a better perspective and skill to take on ATS just be careful and avoid at all costs making a step back because this is a TRAP! and it will hold you back to te point of the project never being released. that's probably why most fan games are never completed what i mean is that some projects keep redoing its first zone over and over again. just keep in mind and... it's very very early and the background isnt 100% done yet i call it: "Glycolysis Glacier Zone" or "Glucose Glacier Zone"... it's a water level and btw i'm using the quick_scale.mfa DW made, hope he don't mind me using it @BlazefireLP i actually didnt know what Dithering was =/ i'll see what i can do about it
  5. yup, Falk, Ristar, and some more i don't actually know who are they yet and i dont know if a team has been already formed i'll release a trailer for the SAGE 2012 version of BTS once a few more tracks have been completed and yes, i'll let you guys make music for ATS when the BTS soundtrack is done and being that most of the zones in ATS has been made/planned without a music in mind, there is room for something new
  6. ok, moving the sonic ATS sprite discussion to here... this is how it looks in game you can also get a peek of technology tree =P and i've found a simple way to make a skin option
  7. there's still some few poses that should be done but... what do you guys think? btw, the colors on the legs of the walking animation and the looking up animation are aready fixed
  8. @BlazefireLP oh, well, i did a comparison and it seemed like it for some reason, anyway that does not change much from what i said up there
  9. dont worry about the sprite, i'll not use it in ATS if it does not fit, but first, i got to find a way to finish the whole sheet, wich is kinda hard for me alone, so it should take a while @BlazefireLP too many colors, i think the sprite is already contrasting with the badniks and some few graphics of the game and with this one the contrast would be even bigger
  10. @Falk well, i think it fits for the sonic 3 sprites, i never found any problem with it but it sure gives another personality to the character like, in sonic 1/2/CD sonic looks "badass" and in sonic 3 he seems to be more funny
  11. as far as the testing goes, the Dark Green one is the one that fits better. and the pink one is basically the dark red one with the standstill animation eyes P3DR0 sent me this one a day ago and like the dark red, it does not fit because the head size it does not seem that big but trust me, it is the dark green on is the one that most resembles the sonic 3 sprite and ATS has been designed for the sonic 3 sprites so i dont have to change my plans for future levels or change the current levels and i'll probably be using it. as i don't want to add a skin option for the sake of simplicity, got to choose wisely =P ^ standstill animation, sonic looks around and then tap his feet @Bri the Chao i'm still unsure about the eyes, it seems nice with the Sonic 1/2/CD eyes and the eyes with AA seem a bit empty.. i think, at least by looking on the one with 2x size oh GREEN EYES PLEASE DAT ONE IS AWESOME!!11!!!1!

This is pretty much almost every sprite made and please point me out the Color for the one you think that fits better with the game. the dark green and the yellow ones are most less chibi and the ones that most resemble the sonic 3 sprite they are also my favorites the big head was P3DR0 idea of making the spikes more like the moden sonic wich i didnt liked but i didnt noticed the big head due to my low spriting skills @Sparks nop, i dont want to change the HUD
  13. to say the truth, i'm a bit unsure about using this sprite... i hope everything goes well and it gets better when the sheet is finished and if it does not fit, well... too bad for the poor sprite and i decided to use sonic 1/2/CD eyes on it because i think it would add a bit more personality to it
  14. i've been doing some tweaking on it and.. yeah, it this this is the final... it's just 1px bigger than the original sprite
  15. i dont usually do this but, well, it looks pretty nice and i think i should give you some tips Dont use arrows to point your way to the level, instead, use the own level design to make the player go were you want it to go. Or make the arrows part of the tiles. waning signs arent very helpfull as you should have thought, i've learned my lesson on Lost Levels Zone in Sonic BTS make sure to only put badniks were the player can easily see them. there is PITs... a lot of then... sorry to say this but... avoid pits at all costs pits are frustrating to the player and makes him want stop playing hope it helps =P

  17. as i thought, D got the most votes =P anyway, i did some small edits on it to change the size wich i dont really know if this could be a problem in the future
  18. i dunno if Geona is up for making a whole sprite sheet and there's also the super forms and the special forms wich makes in total of 5 whole sprite sheets. that is... well, a bit too much and a pallet change would just make this seem like a hack or "saturn"/"something after sonic 3" so... do you know anyone who is up for a job like this?
  19. i know i've been increasing my graphical skill but i'm still not able to even touch sonic's sprite without messing he up and making he look wierd anyway, there is people on mfz with some awesome sprites but it just too much work, isnt it? i mean, all he poses plus super sonic and as far as i know about spriting, it's really time consuming
  20. Act 3 Background i'm just trying to make it fit with @Dark Raven X yeah, maybe... at least they know we want sonic to get as good as it was in the 90's even so... i think bad games will somehow emerge, like in the 90's
  21. well, it makes sense but in the same time it doesn't... i would say something about this but i think it would be a little conspiratory. =P i still keep thinking, is a fan game really a bad thing for the companies? seriously, fan games are made by fan to fans, it's almost impossible to get a sonic fan game out of the sonic comunity, unless it's THAT good, such as sonic fan remix. and speaking of wich, did fan remix stoped people from buying Sonic 4 or Generations? as far as i know, it didn't
  22. wow, a kirby fan game would be a bad idea for several reasons. unlike SEGA, nintendo likes to shut down fan games. oh well, i think i shouldnt have revealed this yet and leave this as what it is, a hidden feature
  23. alright, after i've finished Technology Tree and the other zones i'll should sent then to you and you use your own eyes to see what needs to be changed, simply because i usually think most my work is already good

Sequel's Shine is Technology Tree =P yeah, i kinda forgot to put a spring over there and the act is only a half done. hey, do you mind helping me out with graphics on this one? i mean, i'll make everything by myself and if there is some important graphic of the game that i simply cant get right i'll ask you if you can make it pretty.
