  1. I've been coming up with some new ideas for certain tiles. Improvements? Suggestions?
  2. I tried remaking the Roulette Roadway bricks to look like they're actually shiny, but I think I made them TOO shiny.
  3. Damn dude. Those screenshots are pretty, but what's up with the color of the waterfall? Why did you keep if orange from the original sheet? As for the ruins, I was thinking of a Rusty Ruins type thing, except with more vibrant colors rather than having it look completely weather beaten. Trolling you is the exact opposite. The full tileset itself was inspired by Sylvania Castle. Plus the mountains in your mockup or screenshot are badly resized. @Shadow_Striker, I think you should change the shading on the candy cane floor so that the lightest shade is around the center rather than having it be at the top. Looking awesome though!
  4. Thanks Strife. BTW, Overbound, I was listening when you told me about the bushes.
  5. Over at SuperBliz's workdesk, Shimmering Shores is being built. Ignore the graphical errors, I'm gonna fix it later.
  6. I made a minecart. Custom except for the colors, Mystic Cave wood in it, and the Tornado tires.
  7. LOOKS AWESOME! The only problem I see is that you didn't use the tiles with the indents already in them like in the mockup, which is what it's supposed to be like.
  8. I did kinda just invert the red crystals, but still. BTW, where can I find a minecart sprite. I've been busting my ass all night trying to find one!
  9. Double post. Does the background for Malicious Mineshaft need any improvements?
  10. Do you think Malicious Mineshaft needs anything? BTW, I am aware of the fact that the checkpoint top is going into the wall. It's there for mockup purposes. I might use the Hot Crater rocks instead.
  11. I'll try to edit it to make it look better. With the addition of this zone and maybe another one, that makes a total of 14 zones. Bolded means finished graphics. Shimmering Shores Corrupted Canyon Antarctic Amethyst Riverbank Retreat Towering Treetops Roulette Roadway Flooded Foundation Malicious Mineshaft Vehement Volcano Hurricane Heights Levitated Leviathan Supernova Satellite Armageddon Angel B.L.A.C.K. This will be a large game.
  12. Looking good Sparks, as always. Do the cars run you over and damage you? BTW, yes Ivy or no Ivy?
  13. Thanks! BTW, I changed the name to Riverbank Retreat.
  14. The way I see it... - As far as stages go, most classic games follow a World 1-1 or Stage 1-1 formula. Even though it's very similar to a Sonic game, I wouldn't worry all that much about splitting stages up into seperate parts so to speak. - Maybe for the end of the stage, you could have a checkered flag or something. Not quite sure. - Again with the act thing, you could have a title card. Mainly to indentify the location of where the player is, or maybe have a map and not have a title card at all. Even so, this is still the most original game I've seen.
  15. Actually, the sky behind the mountains was the ocean and clouds from the Marine Madness background, but I changed it because it looked odd in comparison to the rest. Plus I wanted to change the color to match the water.
  16. DING DING DING! We have a winner. The current name for the zone is Evergreen Empire. Here's is an updated version with some indents and a different sky.
  17. Thank you Betaman. What could this be you ask? Hmmmmmm....
  18. I've decided I'm just gonna add a waggily finger to the 32x Sonic. Here's a slightly different mockup of Roulette Roadway. I wanted to show off more of the background.
  19. I stretched it out because the sheet with the ring on it was ripped from an emulator, and in turn, the rip ended up making it look like an oval rather than a circle. These quotes from the old Post Your Screenshot thread should explain why. "This is because sonic cd's title screen was drawn at a less wide/thinner ratio than the standard 320x224 and then just stetched long ways to fill the screen, can't remeber exactly why, but there you go." - Sir Euan (5/30/2007) "It's due to the Mode7-esque clouds. They can only run in a 256x224 resolution for some reason. The special stages are the same." - Hapi-San (5/30/2007) I'm gonna do my best to try and re-edit it, plus I didn't sprite SuperBliz's drawing, I made it freehand.
  20. That actually looks really good. Actually, my main problem with Pixel art isn't shading at all, it's sizing. It's either way to small, or WAY to large. EDIT: It's a start
  21. I mean is that they look 3D, and I don't want them too. Thanks Betaman. BTW, here's the full version of the logo. I'm trying to figure out how to get the SA2 spindash thing to fit on the ring without covering up the character.
  22. Actually, I can take the Blue Sphere's characters, and reshade them to look like Pixel Art! Does anyone have the sprites from the BS screen?
  23. That's what I was thinking about doing, except I don't have a scanner. If I had a touchscreen computer and a stylus, I'd get it done in less than 10 minutes.
