  1. Err maybe you guys didn't get it... I converted them already. There in a zip file follow the link. That or maybe I'm miss understanding you.
  2. I read this thread and figured that there had to be a extension for this so I did a bit of Googling and found this: http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=379359&pid=2721543&st=0entry2721543 I hope that helps you out.
  3. Err I couldn't get every far is the level at all. But what I saw just was Sonic Worlds and the graphics could use some work. Also the homing attack needs tweaking too it should just shoot you down when no enemies are around because it does that player no good. It should shoot your forward like in SA and SA2.
  4. A simple audio converter can fix that. http://www.zshare.net/download/141468025dc16351/ (Oggs)
  5. Yeah if there are updates for them. Most of my plug ins don't work yet with Firefox 3.
  6. I think you were both kinda right let me make this clearer. Why isn't some of this stuff on the forums that people make submitted to the website. But at the same time there are a few things that I think should be on the site but don't really have a place to go on the site. On another note I think nothing gets finished around here because its really hard to make a Sonic game. If you look over at MFGG there are always a ton of games being loaded on to the website. I think Mario games are easier to make then Sonic games. There are no multiple paths the levels are generally shorter in length and they don't seem to get as creative with the graphics over there as we do.
  7. honestly this seems kinda dumb I figure if you (Streak Thunderstorm) start acting like a jack wipe its blazefire. He is always caught if he comes around no biggy.
  8. You are right some of the things I suggested do require the site to sort of broaden submissions accepted. But I don't think that means they should not be on the website. You are also right that things do not get submitted to the submissions forums but that was kind of the point I was making in the first place. My biggest thing I guess is it seems there should be some sort of place on the website for the Sonic Worlds project it is after all a community project and a big part now a days of what many people are doing. I realize everything I've said does take work and I know I haven't volunteered. I'm just thinking aloud and giving my two cents to this thread. One good thing Kain submitted his sprite now which is great cause its a great sprite that deserves to be on the website.
  9. happy birthday spend it in your birthday suit I always do.
  10. I would suggest subtle shading on the corners like I did here
  11. Yeah, I like that top one you made BF any chance I could get you to upload that some where so its not a jpg. For some reason the png's now show as jpgs.
  12. alright well how about the lava reefe backgorund with building machines in the background? Sorry its jpg but you get the idea.
  13. While you are right Spike I think the foreground is too dark already to do a corner like that.
  14. I think the bigger question is why isn't some of the stuff already out there on the site? The Xmas GM engine I do not believe is on the site and neither is Sonic Worlds some may argue this, but I think they deserve a spot on the site. Kain's got a great sonic sprite here: http://www.sonicfangameshq.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3496 I know that's not submitted yet but I think the bigger problem is people forget to submit there stuff. I also don't know if Kain wants it on the site. But who knows? Many of us have seen Blue Frenzy's BG tutorial here: http://www.sonicfangameshq.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1014 Damizean also has that great GSI.dll which could go on the site it helped me greatly speed up Sonic Time Twisted and keeping speed is always a hard thing to do in Sonic games made in GM. The point I'm trying to make here is that there is a lot of things floating around the forum it just never gets submitted to the site.
  15. Alright I am going to swing us back on topic. I played the demo is good looks like you put a lot of work into it. I like the graphics a lot they look great. The engine is really smooth too. However I think is suffers from level design I think the big groups of 5 and 6 badniks is a bit much and there are too many death holes.
  16. I was going to post something but thanks to DW I no longer have to.
  17. Again guys thanks for the suggestions. I have not posted anything else because I haven't got much else other then a few gimmick ideas I'm toying around with. I've also been trying to think of some machine elements to add to the game since it is a mine there should be machines of some sort the problem is I have no idea what kind or where to get them from. Similar levels like Mystic Cave and Lava Reef don't seem to have them and I would like to give the level a bit of a mechanized feel to it. Any suggestion on that? Also keep the names coming I probably won't pick one until I have the level graphics farther along but I like what I'm hearing.
  18. Mineral Mine and Crystal Cavern are two names I have thought of as well. Mineral Mine is a maybe but I think Crystal Cavern is over used like everyone said. I like Diamond Dale but I think since the crystals are green it might be kinda wrong. I have tried to add what you guys suggested darkening the crystals, the wood, the black background was temporary. I think the cooled Lava Reef looks good but I think I want something a bit more original, I have been experimenting with some new backgrounds here: Thank you guys for all the feed back and keep it coming I want this level to look great!
  19. This is a mock-up I've been working on a for a few days. Its going to be the 3rd Round of Sonic Time Twisted. Its supposed to be like a Crystal Mine style round. I'm looking for some opinions and ways to improve upon it. Also if anyone thinks of a good name for the round that would be great too I'm terrible at that.
  20. Not much to say because there is not really that much here though a agree with what BF said. As far as improving level design draw out your levels on a sheet of graph paper first that helps a lot. Also make good use of gimmicks and study official Sonic level design. Between these 3 sites I will link to at the bottom, you should be able to find most of the Sonic 1, 2, 3&k, and CD level maps. Also something many people over look not every level needs loops. http://www.randomsonicnet.org/srz/index.php?page=soniccd/maps.htm http://qntm.org/?maps http://info.sonicretro.org/Category:Level_Maps
  21. Damizean- *looks at events for obj_ring* Ah yes I remember. icecapboy - yeah its game maker naw I don't think its a stupid question. ssbfalcon, Spike, Serephim, Ironrind - thanks I'm glad you guys liked my levels that's probably the most tedious task in game making.
  22. Damizean - GSI works amazingly but I have to ask you because its been a while since I looked at it. Is there any code I have to put in the objects? I was thinking that you fixed a newer version that didn't need a code but its been a while and I just do not remember. The ParadoxX - I try to find music that fits both the present and past. Remixes will probably only happen if I find someone to make original music for that game. Right now since the music isn't even original I don't think I can justify almost doubling the size of the game over unoriginal music. Your City Edge ideas are good too. But I think I'm done working on that level I have worked on it for so long and its workable and play able and I'm just going to leave it. You really should try out Perplex Puzzle though because there is no shortage of gimmicks there and I promise the remaining levels will have no shortage either. To answer your question I'm really hoping this is ready for Sage but I make no promise.
