I used to be a spriter, spriting consistently from '08 up until somewhere in 2012 (can't remember exactly when lol).  After then I sprited infrequently at a decreasing rate.  I do want to get back into the grove, but just don't have the time since I am in my first year of college and have a part time job as a subcontracting Network Administrator.
