  1. I think that if you agreed with the other part of my post, you would probably look insane. Edit: I did listen to your music finally. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it was good. I dig the boss theme you posted. It reminds me of the samurai levels on the Ninja Turtles arcade games. Just trying to be encouraging, really. I know it's hard to figure out how to incorporate certain elements into your style. It's the same for music and art for me. Once you figure it out, though, it's always really rewarding.
  2. Everyone's art is different. I usually take inspiration from the art I like and figure out how to incorporate it into my own style. Don't feel minisculed, instead, feel inspired. Edit: To keep things topical, I do enjoy your artwork, Rawr. I keep wanting to listen to your music, but I always forget by the time I get home. So I'll try to make an effort to do so tonight.
  3. That was my bad. You had said Persona 4 Arena in your post and I just confused myself. Thanks.
  4. If you're still wondering, I picked up the Persona 4 demo on PSN without ever having dabbled in the series. I got enough enjoyment out of the one hour trial to pick up the full game. It's a decent fighter and pretty easy to pick up. Edit: I'm sorry, I read that wrong. More than once, even. Shame on me.
  5. I seem to have forgotten your birthday, but that's okay! I forgot how old you are too!
  6. This right here. All of us developers had to start somewhere. You will feel better about your project if you try to do it yourself instead of having someone else make it for you. Especially if their idea of the project differs from your own. You may not make the best game out of the gate, but it's a learning experience. I don't know about you, but I take any chance I can to expand my knowledge. Sonic Worlds might be hard to understand on a novice level, so you should try getting the basics of MMF2 if you go that route. When you feel you're starting to get the hang of using MMF2, then check it out. As far as fan made Sonic engines go, it's one of (if not the) best out there to my recollection. Either way, pick up a program, be patient and go to Google when you have problems. You'll be better off doing so. Good luck.
  7. It's one of the only games I've looked forward to in 2013. I bought the Survival Edition on Steam. I actually was never too into the series before, having only briefly played the first on the PlayStation and a bit of one on the Dreamcast. This entry may or may not be like the others; I honestly wouldn't know. It does, however, hold up as an adventure game and sparked my interest to actually play the older titles to have a deeper understanding of the series as a whole and see where it's going.
  8. It's Penumbra, mate. Penumbra: Overture to be precise. Both games are developed by Frictional Games. Both are great horror games. They're not perfect, but what is? You should really try something before you judge it. You can buy both games on Steam. http://store.steampowered.com/app/22180/ http://store.steampowered.com/app/57300/ There's also a demo for Amnesia. So you should try it. It would give you more context to your argument or you just might like it. Don't judge a book by its cover. Cheers.
  9. About never gaining weight after a steady diet of McDonald's for over a year? No. I'm dead serious.
  10. Love for the arches. Typical favourites (in any combination or amount, the fun never ends!) In no specific order: 1.) Two Big Macs with Pickles, Lettuce and Tomatoes only. 2.) Twenty Piece Chicken McNugget with Barbecue sauce. 3.) One Super Size (now Large if they catch me sneaking in with the Super Size cup ) Sprite or Dr. Pepper. 4.) Large Fries with Ketchup. 5.) Either Chocolate or Vanilla shake. Strawberry on those spicy nights. 6.) Oreo McFlurries. Yuuummm... I need to go get some now. I ate McDonald's every day twice a day for over a year when I lived in California. I've never weighed over 135 pounds. Quit stereotyping Maurice and Richard's masterpiece and the largest fast food restaurant chain in the universe!! It's comments like that that dissuade skeptics from the truth.
  11. Not bad at all, Rael. Since the mix is still raw and it's still early in progress, it's hard to make a good judgement on it yet. Try doing a stereo delay with your lead or record another track to harmonise it (I'm sure you've heard that in a lot of my mixes). I'll give better feedback when you finish it.
  12. Windows 7 runs most everything you could run on Vista, except for Virtual Drives. I have to use PowerISO now (and no, I rip my games on to my computer. HDDs are faster than DVD Drives). However, I haven't noticed any differences between running a game with DX11 and DX10.
  13. The one thing I dislike about the beta* is you can't hide the task bar. For some of you, it won't be a problem, but I hate my task bar always showing. Currently triple booting XPMC, Vista Ultimate 64-bit and Windows 7 beta. It's also crazy to see how big my OS CD stack has gotten over the past 10 years. Edit: *This referred to the build my friend had. I'm on build 7000 (the beta released to the public) and the taskbar's fully functional in it. So that previous statement can be ignored.
  14. Those things are all over GameStop and Wal-Mart. They have that and matching hats, but I suppose you just transformed it into a two-in-one by wearing it on your head. Quick! Get a patent!
  15. Great, now pants have to worry about terrorism. I know, I know. Bad joke.
  16. My fondest memory was probably when I beat Sonic 2 for the first time. Sonic 2 was and still is one of my favourite games. I remember getting it with a Sega Genesis back in 1992. Man, those were the good old days. I remember my brother kicking my arse at that game when I was a kid (he was 12 and I was 4, so...) When I was 13 or 14, I tried to take him on again and he kicked my ass again, haha. Now I can finally beat him, 15 years later. ;
