TRON Evolution from the creators of Turok Propaganda Games just showing you guys something much more different than sonic games XDDD thou the movie is pretty cool, im eager to see how this game comes out when i play it, so opinions? (and yeah i know that the character moves kinda bad but you get used to it pretty quickly XDD)
  2. I remember the good old days when a Star wars game mean serious buissness, from gameplay and story like Dark Forces, Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2, Jedi Academy and of course Rebel Assault, but Force Unleashed? nahh i pass, why? im not a fan of using too much the Jedi powers, because is like the problem with the Homing attack or Lightdash for sonic, they are useful yes, but they are optional for the jedi to use, not a must like some of the time you have to be using reflect force to avoid the bullet rain from the troopers, or using constantly the pull or push force, i think what makes a Star wars game cool is it lightsaber fights, its weapons, their ships, and of course the story, not just the jedi powers, and that's why i stopped to play SW games since Academy and a few more, because they are more focused in jedi powers than much else, i think the game i enjoyed the most of SW was Dark Forces 2, yes was a FPS most of the time but man fighting troopers with the lightsaber in first person was a blast for me.

Its not like its bad the details, but mostly of the lag comes from the excesive detail it has, i mean all in the screen its almost 3D polygons, and nothing its something like textures and stuff, i mean its pretty when all its renderer but with an engine like Unity its a serious issue with machines that doesnt meet the minimum requiriments for the ENGINE not the game, i have seen even more simpler games and still has some lags in it, but they can be run in older PC's like P4 or older AMD's, again the Keyboard lag it has even with a powerfull machine its because the engine itself lags with the keyboard input, heck it even has some issues with the remapping keys, or i dunno why lowering the graphics to play in Fastest doesnt play in fastest at all in older PC's. I always say that with 3D games it has to be tested in almost 3 kind of PC's, a lower spec one, a medium one and then the high end one, because if it only plays for high end pc's then you feel like if you dont have one you cant play it and therefore you miss half of the people that would like to play it because the gameplay mechanics not the pretty graphics, Gameplay its the core of the games, then its the graphics, i mean yes a game has to have a balance between the two but not overdose on of them.
  5. tested, and its seems that runs pretty smooth in older machines (like my old Desktop) kinda much more than SFR (not bashing its that blender engine has more flexibility with older pc's than Unity IMO) Its a pretty good looking game you have here, it has details but not too many and still has that cartoonish look to it, and the sonic model its just wonderful. Thou there are some things that are bothering me since the first build, i dunno but the log bridge i know its supposed to behave like the genesis ones, but kinda doesnt looks good if the log returns to his initial state that fast, i mean when sonic steps into the bridge the logs goes down like they has to yes, but when sonic its of the log that were stepping into it returns too fast to his initial state, and the other logs are all still and doesnt give that effect that some weight its pushing down the bridge, its just a visual effect but that gives a little more of realism to the prop. Also some platforms looks too square-ish and less rocky-ish, i mean those that looks like a sideway in mid air could be cool if they had some irregularities to it, like fragment of rocks and stuff sticking down the plane area where sonic walks/runs, but after those things im okay with the game keep it up man!
  6. Please tell me you have Sonic Bastardized in that list, because its driving me crazy to find that game, i searched in Retro, nothing, searched in Senntinent, nothing, in youtube, nothing, a dozen times with google and then again nothing.
  7. @Zombie: yeah but was kinda IE fault that, sometimes mess with the quote tags XDDD @Aerosol: that's true, and yes the team behind CT:R weren't bashing SE, BUT CT:R indeed was a exact copy of CT but in 3D and looked exactly as SE make their games just a little more cooler than their games, but SE doesnt support their fans and their projects as much as SEGA does, even before Sonic 4 were released SEGA linked to different Splash Hill remixes and art of the sort, heck i even think they will link to this game when they are going to start with Ep2. I know SEGA isnt like SE with their fans, and i know the team behind SFR arent bashing at SEGA with their game, they just want to do a fun game to play that's all, its the people that are making this too much when its just that, a game, i mean come on Sonic 4 isnt half bad, in fact it has so many cool things, yeah it has its flaws, but in the end it was cool to play it, maybe it isnt the same thing without the Sega Genesis and all but its still Sonic 4.

If it were that way' date=' we might have a problem.QUOTE'] That's why Sega isnt doing the C&D way because they know that the creators arent bashing Sonic 4, they are doing a fangame, and that's what i like the game, because even the people that says those stuff, the creators of the game dont say that their game are way better than sonic 4, its just a coincidence that its exactly like Sonic 4 but different at the same time and being a little more polished in some areas, but that's it, its better at his way not being something to insult sega or to demostrate something, that's what is pissing me off about the most of the people that plays the game.

Being honest with you Aerosol you arent alone man, i mean its a fan game it doesnt has to be on top of an OFFICIAL game people, yes it has all the things that are missing in some of the new sonic games, but come on this was just something some fans do it because they felt that it was right to do some kind of homage or tribute to the classics, nothing less nothing more. Seriously if this thing of "this is way better of what sega did with sonic 4" it will get some kind of C&D or at least a warning, i mean this exact thing happend with Chrono Trigger Resurrection when people started to say "This is even more cooler than Final Fantasy" or "Square-enix cant do shit about Chrono Trigger because they dont care" those kind of comments makes people lose their work because the company thinks they want to make money with it if the people thinks is better than anything official. *rant mode off" anyway, the game was pretty solid in some points, some stuff stills ticks me off like, if you die while you are jumping the jumping animation merges with the die animation, or the fact that sonic doesnt crouch, instead just kinda crouches standing, the fact that the keyboard kinda delays like one second and half its annoying because you have to react early if you dont want to die or run into an enemy and die, sometimes sonic stands still in a loop or slope, but is a very rare glitch so im okay with that, in short, its an OK game it has everything, graphics, gameplay, level design, atmoshpere, and many many detals (like that cool ROBOLAND sign in the back of each act and the spotlights) but that's it its just a fan game.

Thanks there Scarlet the water used to be pretty meh, so we are working here to get that done right and believe me its looking fantastic so far, we have now done the mode7 water now using sonic 3 water from the intro, and yes the floating rocks are going to be added as well its part of Sonic 4 titlescreen and i dont see why doesnt add it to Re-Geness, after all Re-Genesis its the same game only in Sega Genesis format as it could be years ago.
  11. @LarkSS: yeah i was thinking on Mode7 object for that but i cant seem to find something related to that, and yeah the colours are kinda placeholder as well i dont know what i was thinking leaving "Re-Genesis" with those colors, so i will try with the colours of episode 1 instead. @Strife: well in fact it does have the same font, just for Episode 1 i used all in caps, and for re-genesis i used the normal way, but yeah i will change that. @Felik: that could be because the spikes or the eyes i dunno, i messed around with this sprites so much that i cant find a way to make it more small without making all from scratch.

Okay after all the fixes to the sprite (i had to redo all the animation for the titlescreen altogether) i have this little sucker here: this is ingame, the titlescreen now has been implemented, thou i have to do it with motion and i wanted to see if i can do some kind of 3D prespective for the water, but the BG is kinda placeholder for now, edited from Sky Sanctuary clouds and Hydrocity water with pallete changed. Also i have to work on on some little things with this and its ready, later on i will show a video of it.
  13. @Azukara: well its only a preview of what im working on, but is getting there thanks for the tip. @P3DR0: yeah a pretty good one if i must say XDD, yeah i have to fix that like i said to azukara i was showing how the titlescreen was getting, now i have to work more into the S4 pose, since its inspired on the S1 titlescreen pose but at the same time it has that difference (dunno why sonic in the first one had that pose and in sonic 4 has that more cool one) thanks again for the tip and the example it helps a lot.

More stuff of Re-Genesis this time im going for the title screen, since Sonic 4 title screen seems and is based on the Sonic 1 it was ratter easy to do, more for the ring thing since the ring itself doesnt change that much of colours, thou i had to redo in small size the Sonic 4 thing since the one i have is very huge, as you can see is almost a exact replica of the HD version in genesis way, and you are wondering why sonic doesnt has his green eyes? if you look closely he has green eyes just a very dark shade of green like the ones in those Sonic 06 prototype screens. Now i have a new engine for the game more easy to understand and more flexible to add the homing and stuff, but i will keep the Sonic Worlds version just in case, for now in that version it has the new titlecard and the jump dash maded it from the fire dash of the Fire Shield.

I remember the first 3 fan games of sonic i ever played where Sonic Madness, Parallactic Adventure, and Time Attacked, i always loved how Madness moved so fluid and closer to the originals, also the sewers level was very cool XDD Anyway anybody knows where i can get the demo of Sonic Bastardized the bulid219 i think, because i have that build with the short lenght level, aslo i found the demo of Yet Another Sonic Minigame to add to the 3D sonic fan games, thou i have a little demo of this game called Sonic Revolution? that one all in 3D, i dunno if anybody is interested in that because is kinda hard to find and i think i remember the creator of the game having some troubles here, dunno if anybody is interested in that demo i can upload it.
  16. is that demo actually XDD, the original demo that you say it dosnt work on some of the computers i have it as well but i cant remember now in which DVD i burn it, and i find your game pretty fun to play thou the sonic model needs work but maybe you have that fixed by now XDD, and other issues as well but is kinda pretty fun to play. Now that reminds me i didnt uploaded Sonic Bastardized into the bunch so i will search for it and add it to the folder later on and maybe some other Sonic 3D fangame that im missing now.
  17. some editing in sprites, i have to do yet the skidding, hurting, dead, and drown, but the bubble one is two frames, in sonic 4 is more smoother because its a model and can have more frames than the genesis "limitations" thou i know that the bubble anim is just one frame, but i think is more cooler to have more animations in some of the old ones, still i have to see how sonic skidd in sonic 4, how gets hurt, and how dies, i think it dies the same as the dead animation from Sonic Advance 1 The falling animation only occurs when sonic is off the springs, not yet for falling off a platform, i have to figure out how to add that animation to when sonic falls off some platform

  19. @Larkss: well yeah i know is heightmapping just looks like voxels XDDD, i dont think MMF2 can do voxels anyway I know some guys arent gonna to recognize this but FGR that reminds me somehow to TRON, maybe i dunno making a TRON based game using that kind of idea, doesnt have to have a deep storyline it can be like the TRON Arcade that was made by Bally, anyway it looks neat that idea of recolecting fragmented data but how about maybe some lost data packages that some virus or hacking program steal it from your server and you need to stop this hacking program or locate this program to recover the package, or maybe giving the "programs" kind of missions to accomplish that can be, recovering fragmented data, obtaining X program, clean X partition of the disk from virus, defending the system from a massive Virus attack kinda like that and in the meantime you can explain some basic story behind all of those
  20. Experimenting with MMF2's Mode7 object. I'm actually quite proud of the results so far, considering that this is, well, MMF2. xD; The Mode7 object has so many neat features that go above and beyond what Super Mario Kart was capable of (such as height mapping). hmmm that looks more of a Voxel engine than a Mode 7 one, thou i know about the mode 7 in MMF2 and their amazing features like this one, but this sort of looks more like Voxels than mode 7, maybe you can call this Fake voxel or something like that, anyway if Mario Kart had this instead of only mode 7 alone it could being pretty neat, since the 3D chipset of the SNES were slighty powerful than the Genesis one, i know because i played games like Dirt Trax and well the well knowed Starfox, kinda eager to see what you are going to come up with this, maybe instead a racing game a pseudo 3D adventure game or a platform game?
  21. well actually its the default size that Fusion has, i dunno if i can get a more small resolution in the emulator so i just used the sprites in with the default configuration of the emulator.
  22. I will be working in the Dynamite Dux Sprites right away, for the Taluluto sprites i couldn't find any rips around there, but i have ripped some basic sprites of him, sorry if i didnt put what is what but if you played the game you can tell what are mostly of the animations.
  23. Hmm let me see if i can rip the Taluluto sprites or if i can find some sprites of him, and about the Dynamite Dux ones, yeah they are too old if you want i can give a shot and try to update them or do the bean way you told it got to be easy if i find the right Bean sprites.

Now you got me there man, Ranger X and Epsilon Eagle? those are pretty badass man, seriously, i mean Ranger X alone can beat the crap out of anybody with those weapons he has, but Epsilon Eagle is pretty much the same and more i think, man this is getting pretty tight keep it up, and i know that you maybe have this character in your character roster but what about Pulseman? and this other character called Taluluto from the game Magical Taluluto? or El Viento? Alissa Dragon? Valis? those are pretty much kinda Beat'em up/platform adventure games that are famous, and you are going to include some of Shinobi and Ninja Gaiden? maybe Strider?
