  1. Sonic United will have a live stream, with streams taking place every week. Specific dates and times will be given out several days prior to the arranged live streams. Sonic United's live streams will consist of playthroughs of Sonic games, playthroughs of fan games, playthroughs of non-Sonic games, multi-purpose tutorials, etc. The stream is to be run by not only the staff, but the members as well. If anyone is interested in streaming, you can either leave a reply to this thread or send me a PM to discuss details. We have decided to go with the streaming service hitbox. We recommend installing Open Broadcaster as it is highly functional and very easy to use. You will then be given a temporary key to stream with. The live stream is located here: http://sonicunited.org/stream/
  2. Some of you may remember that Sonic United used to have its own live stream. Unfortunately development of the site got in the way of those plans, but now that development is complete, the live stream is back.

  3. Want to join the Sonic United writing staff? Info on applying is here: http://sonicunited.org/forums/index.php?/topic/7613-news-reporters-wanted/

  4. We are currently looking for a few talented individuals to cover Sonic news on our main site. The role would require staying up to date and being quick to cover Sonic news when it's released. Individuals must be dedicated to the role and have outstanding skills in spelling, grammar, and composition. Sonic United's main site uses WordPress. You will need some basic knowledge on the WordPress platform. If you are interested in applying, you may write up an example news piece in an email and send it to [email protected] You may also include any additional info which will benefit your application. Be sure to include in your title “Sonic United News Team Inquiry” in the subject header.
  5. If you notice a member breaking the rules, or have any concerns over a post or member, use the report function which is available in each post and at the bottom of user profiles. This brings the matter to the attention of the moderating team to handle, which is what the moderating team is here for. Many incidents have gone unreported, or with users attempting to back seat mod. This announcement is just a friendly reminder that if you have any concerns, use the report function and the staff will handle and resolve the matter.
  6. Thanks for all of the feedback on Soap Struck! I can't wait to release it. There will be a lot more updates on Sonic Forever very soon
  7. Topic has been merged into the feedback thread. Please post feedback here in future~
  8. Nice job Gistix! It looks smooth, but Sonic's spinning animation is a little too slow, especially when he jumps. Speed up the animation some more and it'll look more natural. Sonic's running speed would also benefit from being raised since he's quite slow right now. But everything is looking good. I'm looking forward to this project. Keep up the good work.
  9. Looks interesting. Nice job!
  10. The SFGHQ Night theme is now available and finished. It has been set as the default for a few days. After that, Sonic United White will be set back as the default with SFGHQ Night remaining as an optional theme.
  11. Try now Riseodvi. Yeah. Sonic United has had an arcade since it opened.
  12. As most of you are aware, the Skype chat has been closed, but not without reason. We have a new, much better chat which is on-site and connected to the forums userbase. The new chat is located here. The URL will likely change. I'm still working on it, but you can join us by clicking that link for the time being. Another announcement will be made once the chat is finished. It's work in progress. Numerous site improvements have been made. The main site's search functionality has been improved, the main site's link colour has been changed to stand out more, and there's some general CSS clean up. A new header image has been created for the Sonic United White theme, which is in the style of how it looked when the site first opened, done in celebration of the site's 2 year anniversary. The regular Sonic font header will likely be put back up in the future. P3DR0 has also joined the moderating team. He was staff during Act 1 of SAGE this year and helped out a lot, he also contributes well to the community and will make a great addition to the moderating team. ila chose to take a break from the site a few weeks ago, but has decided it's time to rejoin the staff. We're glad to have them both on board. Thanks for reading! More updates will be posted in the near future.
  13. So it appears that there's a hidden motorcycle level in the Shadow The Hedgehog flash game. As far as most are aware, there's only one regular platforming level. From what I've gathered, the motorcycle level is in the Spanish version of the game. I'm not sure how you access the level itself, but it exists. Does anyone know how to access the motorcycle level? Or can anyone manage to figure it out? Play it here: http://www.minijuegos.com/juego/shadow-the-hedgehog Also here's a video showing a clip of the motorcycle level: http://youtu.be/7HWJKIPnB0Q?t=34s
  14. I gave this a shot. Couldn't get hooked on it. I need a good time waster.
  15. http://board.sonicstadium.org/topic/17444-sonic-live-action-movie-no-room-for-boom/?p=898444
  16. I'm really looking forward to this. One of the writers for the movie confirmed it's not for Sonic Boom. What characters do you think will appear?
  17. GameSpot is streaming Sonic Boom live today (or rather, tomorrow) at 0:40am GMT. http://www.gamespot.com/e3/gamespot-stage-1-2014/
  18. Mario Kart 8 came out a few days ago. It has received very good reviews. I've been playing it since release day. I'd say it's the best Mario Kart game so far. It's miles better than the past few instalments in the series. The gameplay is a lot faster, more balanced, and overall more enjoyable. The game also looks stunning in HD and is full of detail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibVJr7tpvQ4 Discuss everything related to Mario Kart 8 here.
  19. The Sims is a life simulation video game series, which has sold more than 175 million copies worldwide. The series has had 3 major entries, and has spawned numerous spin-offs such as The Urbz. The latest major entry in the series The Sims 4 is coming out later this year. Discuss everything related to The Sims franchise here.
  20. Rules for the Skype chat:
  21. The following are some of my favourite video games, with the version(s) listed I personally prefer playing. #5 - Super Mario 64 (Wii/DS) This is the game that got me into the Mario series. It's a wonderfully crafted 3D platformer that deserves the praise it has received. I was hooked on this game for many months. If you haven't played this game, you are missing out on a big piece of gaming history. #4 - The Simpsons Hit & Run (Any Version) You play as The Simpsons (and Apu) in Springfield. It's an open world sandbox kind of game. You are able to free roam and complete missions to progress the storyline. It's a very fun game. It's a shame it hasn't received a sequel. #3 - Sonic Colours (Wii Version) Easily the best looking Sonic game in the series. The Wii's hardware did not limit this game much. Every location makes you feel like you're actually there. It's full of detail. The game feels like an actual theme park set in space. It's a beautiful game with fantastic visuals and music. Sonic Adventure 2 (Dreamcast/Gamecube Version) Easily my favourite 3D Sonic game. The gameplay is top notch with a great soundtrack and a great sense of style. Six playable characters, an interesting storyline, solid gameplay. It's a game I'm happy to play over and over. #2 - The Urbz: Sims in the City (GBA/DS Version) Ignore the mediocre console version. The handheld version is phenomenal and full of soul. It's a cross between a simulation and action game. I have been playing The Urbz for almost a decade and I still find it to be very enjoyable. I recommend buying the DS version and playing it on your 3DS. #1 - Mirror's Edge (360/PS3/PC Version) An incredible game. It's a first person platformer. You play as a runner called Faith and use parkour abilities. The gameplay style is get to the goal with some brain teaser sections here and there. The visuals and music is also incredible. A must buy title.
  22. That was pretty fun. Keep up the good work.
