Iizuka has revealed new Dr. Eggman lore at a recent official SEGA fan event in Seoul. SEGA held a Q&A panel at the event where fans were able to ask questions to members of Sonic Team. Iizuka and Hoshino were part of the panel. The main points are located below.
- Dr. Eggman is under 50 years old.
- Maria is older than Dr. Eggman.
- Dr. Eggman did not meet Maria.
- All information Dr. Eggman knows about Maria had been acquried after her death.
- Gerald Robotnik had two sons.
Iizuka clairified Dr. Eggman’s specific age has not been disclosed. Iizuka also confirmed Shadow the Hedgehog is the oldest main character. Iizuka could not clarify whether Shadow is still an agent or not.
