Sonic Superstars Featured in Game Informer

Sonic Superstars is featured in the latest issue of Game Informer with many new screenshots and new details revealed. The new feature and new screenshots have been included in this article.

Key points from the new issue:

Revealed stage names include:

• Carnival Pinball
• Sky Temple
• Lagoon City
• Sand Sanctuary
• Press Factory
• Golden Capital

Emerald Abilities:

• Blue Emerald grant Avatar abilities to create clones on-screen.
• Cyan Emerald will grant water abilities for traversal.
• Green Emerald grants Ivy, which grows vines.
• The Red Emerald is Bullet, which shoots the character like a cannonball.
• The Purple Emerald is the vision ability for seeing hidden objects.
• Yellow Emerald will slow down time.
• White Emerald grants a special ability for each character:
  • Homing Attack for Sonic.
  • Tornado Spin for Tails.
  • Punch for Knuckles.
  • Hammer Throw for Amy.

There’s also a HUB world, similar to Sonic Generations, which includes a shop to customise your character. Game Informer stated Takashi Iizuka played coy when they attempted to ask him about it. That’s mostly all of the new details.

Sonic Superstars is set to be released Fall 2023.
