During an interview with 4Gamer, Iizuka has stated new details regarding Sonic Rangers will be revealed soon and has asked to wait a little longer. Iizuka has also revealed the mysterious symbol from the teaser appears in-game.
Mr. Iizuka: Since “Sonic Forces”, we haven’t announced a completely new action game in the Sonic series, so I was worried about the fans. It’s still early, but I just wanted to let you know that we are developing a completely new game on the occasion of the 30th anniversary.
