Sonic Colors Ultimate Tails In-Game Screenshots & Details Revealed

Recently, Famitsu released screenshots with a Tails life icon while the player was using a wisp. This led many to believe Tails would be playable in Sonic Colors Ultimate. Famitsu has now released more screenshots and details revealing Tails will only appear in-game to save Sonic from bottomless pits. This new feature requires the player to collect Tails tokens. Sonic Forces removed the lives system, so this seems like an appropriate change for Sonic Colors Ultimate. Famtisu has also revealed new screenshots of the Jade Wisp in-game.

Sonic Colors Ultimate also features improved controls, character costumes, the new Jade Wisp, and Rival Rush mode with Metal Sonic. Sonic Colors Ultimate is set to be released September 7th, 2021. The deluxe edition is set to be released September 3rd, 2021.
