Sonic Series Leads Traditional Software Sales in SEGA SAMMY 2020 Investor Briefing

SEGA SAMMY has released their 2020 investor briefing with 74 pages. The 2020 investor briefing reveals the Sonic series has performed extremely well.

The Sonic series has led traditional software sales with 4.4 million copies sold, followed by Total War with 4 million, Football Manager with 3.8 million, and Persona with 3 million. The Sonic series is also noted to have been strengthened with the Sonic movie, the upcoming Sonic movie sequel, and the upcoming series Sonic Prime.

The briefing also states SEGA is considering remastering, remaking, and rebooting old titles such as Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, Rez, Panzer Dragoon, NiGHTS, Shinobi, Virtua Fighter, Altered Beast, House of the Dead, Streets of Rage, and Soul Hackers. They are all noted to be “Under examination of which IP to utilize.”
