Alright! Some gameplay! Let’s look at Sonic Runners in action!

It seems like Sonic Runners will be a game similar to Jetpack Joyride where you’re always moving forward. That’s about where the similarities end though. You’ll be collecting rings and jumping through Dash Rings. In order of appearance, the characters are Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Charmy, Vector, Espio, Rouge, Shadow, and Amy. It seems as each one will have their own unique ability. Sonic can double jump, Tails can fly, and Knuckles can jump dash.

It seems as though the boss battles that appear in Sonic Jump and Sonic Dash will be returning. The shop returns as well and it seems like one of the purchasable items are Wisps. Others items seem to resemble the ones from Sonic Lost World. The wheel spin will also return but it seems like you’ll only be able to earn Chao eggs. And different varieties of Chao will also be available.

Sonic Runners releases in Japan this month and I can’t wait to see it come to the rest of the world.
