Sonic Colors Ultimate has been announced during SEGA’s Sonic Central event. Sonic Colors Ultimate is a remaster of the 2010 Wii title which will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.
Sonic Colors Ultimate will feature in-game costumes. A new wisp “Jade Ghost” will be featured in the game which will allow Sonic to pass through solid objects to find new paths. There will also be a new Rival Rush mode which is a race against Metal Sonic. You can unlock rewards through this mode.
New screenshots have been released by Famitsu with a Tails life icon, implying Tails will be playable in the remaster. The screenshots unfortunately only feature the wisp abilities in action.
Sonic Colors Ultimate is set to be released September 7th, 2021 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The deluxe edition will be released earlier on September 3rd, 2021.
