The wait for the next Sonic game may soon be over. SEGA Chief Strategy Officer Shuji Utsumi stated in a recent interview with Famitsu Magazine that an announcement for a new Sonic game “might be coming soon”. E3 and Sonic’s 30th anniversary are both next month. SEGA has been confirmed for E3 this year. Sonic Colors Ultimate was recently leaked and could be the next new game announcement.
Uysumi also responded to the comments regarding the many mobile titles SEGA has released recently compared to console titles and stated there has been an organizational shift at SEGA with more console games to be released starting 2022 onwards.
