SEGA Arcade in Tokyo Japan Permanently Closes
One of Ikebukuro’s biggest landmarks, the huge SEGA Ikebukuro Gigo arcade, has permanently closed today. The arcade has closed after 28 years. The venue’s lease expired and the building is set to be renovated. The SEGA Ikebukuro Gigo arcade had a floor dedicated to prize machines stocked with plushies, figurines, keychains, along with snacks. The purikura photo booths had their own coplay desk where you can rent costumes for cheap. It’s unfortunate the arcade has closed its doors.
