icecapboy Posted August 20, 2006 Report Share Posted August 20, 2006 Well, I know some of you people are having trouble with my game trying to jump while running, is there a better way to detect slopes so the character will be bale to stay to the ground while running and be able to jump? I used Rage's Static Engine and that engine had the same problem. If there's another how-to for TGF, please let me know, it would be really helpful. LarkSS Posted August 20, 2006 Report Share Posted August 20, 2006 First, make sure Sonic sticks to the slope good if he's not jumping and a specific detector positioned maybe 30-40 pixels below Sonic overlaps an obstacle. Then take a look at your jumping events. If there's a condition that you wouldn't mind taking out, then go ahead.
