What happened to parody in films these days? Since Scary movie, the art of parody has declined. The internet does a better job now, but I wait for an old fashioned parody film that doesn't come across as tastelessly desperate.

True. It's a shame that they just don't try, or hell do try, and make painful flops. While the internet births a new meme every day, Hollywood just says, "well that looks funny, let's slap that in."

I'd hardly call Scary Movie (and any related films) a parody movie so much as just a reference movie.
