Well here dude. Are you looking for Genesis styled instruments or are you looking for something more modern? I had a whole genesis sound system set up but a motherboard crash kinda ruined that for me. I have all my GarageBand stuff though. I can always put a little thing together for your gorge level or something.

It wasn't much... When I get a composition idea I have to do it or I won't remember. And that took me like an hour to make maybe. But yeah especially if the strings weren't me randomly trying things it would work. Idk when I have time I can play around with this. I just liked what I heard in my head.

Since Sonic is 2x as big as everything else you might want to consider increasing the window size. Otherwise it'll be hard for people to see what's coming next

While I love Meatloaf it's just a bit out of place in a sonic game. I like the idea of going classic rock for a sonic game though, it would be AWESOME. I could totally get into that. I'm sure as you get a bit more of a finished product up there'd be some musician with an electric guitar who would be willing to contribute something.

I do tune up and I swear to God I can play everything and then I hit the record button and all hell breaks loose with notes/rhythm. However, I will work on the volume levels, not something I was really thinking about.
I have the ear to pull off bends so I'm good there

One day really isn't a lot for waiting for help, especially with something that's somewhat complex such as a homing attack.
I don't have an example because I don't really program too much, but I do know that if you're only looking for the way to register if the jump button has been pressed while you're in the air, you might want to check out Tails' flying action and Knuckles' gliding action. Those should both have examples.
Calculating a homing attack is a bit more difficult. I would imagine you would have to calculate which enemy is closest and then calculate the X and Y speed Sonic should go to get there, which should involve some sort of trigonometry and I'm foggy on that. I know there are examples somewhere, though the ones on the main site may not work if you just copy paste them I'm sure you can go off of them.
Not totally sure if you need that help or just the button pressing. Hope this did help you somewhat.
FYI: Most people will not go out of their way to make something for you, particularly if it's relatively complicated. Also, the fact that you just joined and haven't shown off your project yet will also make people less likely to work. No one wants to put effort into something for someone and see it fail (like all my old games have lol) If you want people to help you with the bigger stuff, I suggest you make a topic in General Fangame Discussion and post some pics of it and generate some hype.
Anyway, I hope I helped somewhat, welcome to the site, and so on and so forth!

I work at a generic fast food place on my college campus. I perform a plethora of tasks, such as dishes, taco station, fryer, and sandwich. Making sandwiches for drunk people when you work the closing shift is always an enjoyable experience. Chicken fingers, chipotle, and peanut butter comes to mind. How could someone EAT that?

No performance issues over here, even running in WINE at 60fps and 1440x900. How old are the computers having performance issues?
