Its not only medicore anymore, its becoming a plain let down. EDGE has given this game a 3/10 now Sonic Heroes got a 5/10 from them, so I have next to no idea why its getting such a low grade. I thought this game wouldn't be great, but at least it be a step in the right direction, but now its not even looking like that anymore. Its all gone to pots, oh well I get to try the game out next week to see just how bad it is, I'm no longer expecting a decent play through... = (

SG and Blyde, you two rekindle some faith I still have for this game, granted I'll enjoy it none the less but when I find dozens or so people calling this a poorly designed game and some thinking it feels more like a 5 months job, it all feels slightly distrusting for me as if I'll pick up and feel a sour taste in my mouth, I'm not expecting the best, but I sure as hell want a decent play. Overall, if you won't a Sonic fan, never played the previous games and was just new to the series, would you like this game? the main problem I find with reviews from people is that they think its great because its a Sonic game, whilst others say its a let down because they base themselfs on the games over ten years ago, not the game their playing now. Yes I ask this because I'm in a mid-life gamer crisis!

Well Sonic 4 isn't anything special, it would have been alot better if I could see where I was going, it still does a better job then this port. Anyway Sonic Wildfire and Sonic the Hedgehog seem good so far, but I was never interested in this title to begin with anyway = ) Still makes me wonder how much time SEGA puts into working on a Sonic game. but hey, they've done these dodgy jobs before *coughGameGearPortscough* although that still doesn't excuse what they did to this game ;__;

Oh...dear...maybe Aerosol was right that some people will give up on this game due to the load times...anyway some songs have already been ripped, His World had the potential to be the greatest theme song in a Sonic game...if only they kept their mouth shut. His World And SweetSweetSweet

What is this Sonic 4 rom you speak of and where can I get it? Is it that Sonic 1 megamix hack or is it something else?

1up gives this game a 5.5 stating its worser then Heroes and Shadow (which is just not possible) And then Play magazine goes to say... And give it a 9.5...I'm so confused ;__; I'm guessing this is a love it or hate it type of game eh?

IGN fan reviews are saying this game is just as crap as the rest of the stuff SEGA puts out onto Sonic these days. Yet I hear people who hated all the games after Adventure 2 actually like this game and is just as good as the Adventure series if not better. Can you sense that I am confused?

I heard from the IGN forums (yes bad place to go anyway I know) that trying to control the board is actually pretty tough, so how would you rate the controls so far on this game? And are the bosses fun, or just cheap and easy? XD

Anyone ever heard of a show called Game On? apparently it gave it a 8.7 out of 10, pretty good, but Play Magazine's Dave Halverson to quote him "The best Sonic game. 2D or otherwise" and gives it a 9.5 (this is however, unveriable yet, someone get the next issue of Play Magazine!) and considering this guys favourite games include... Oh and before you and your friend decide to make a comic, I suggest you study VERY hard on how to draw a style that is at least consistent with itself. And those sprites, they need like tons of improvements, what all you did was add eye lashes and change the colour of the boots in one of those. I'd say you study and learn to edit sprites that are not basic recolours of each other. Pointers include at least adding shading and give them better looking shoes, gloves, features on their boddies that show that some effort went into them.

You do know, Sonic Next is coming out a whole month in Europe before Japan right? Anyway new screens featuring the town stage, seems very bland (the ones with Silver) found here Also found this on the site.

Holy Hell (oxymoron haha) that looks sweet, so it looks like Spiderman's going to face off against Sandman, Goblin something and Venom too? (looks like it with all the black webbing I'm seeing) seems like alot is going to be going on in this movie, hope they can fit it in.

Novermber 24th for Europe, 15 years after Sonic the Hedgehog 2's release here, coincidence? I think not = P

I'd expect to bump into a few regulars of the Satam series there (although i've never seen the show so I don't really know) and areas like Robtropolis, Knothole castles and maybe the boarder between these two locations? As a few quests I could think of off the top of my head. - Power rings deplishen, need more to keep defence at Knothole up - Rescue certain citazens from Robotropolis - Pass a message of royality from Knothole to Soleeana (obviously later on in the game) I guess you could put down Knothole's royal histroy as part of the island's backstory but I can't really think of much else at the moment.

*Sips tea* To tell you the truth, Sonic and Chrono are just as much paper cuts out as each other, Sonic just looks cooler to me. While Solid Snake is much much muhc much more character and backstory then Sonic ever will, not to mention complexity in story. However people there are voting by who they like the most which is what the contest is not about, its who's got the more popularity. I'd have to side with Sonic on this one because people who stopped playing games about eight or so years ago will still remember Sonic and Mario, not Solid Snake. But meh who cares, these topics are silly, how about we lock it? .__. BTW heard Play magazine gave Sonic Next 9.5 though cannot confirm at the moment. EDIT: And anyway, Samus will crush Sonic/Snake's puny souls!!!1!!!!111

Well I was doing perfectly fine (mind you, a proper ring loss system would have helped me tons more) until I got to the boss, who liked, killed me instantly... Yeah add more check points and not so in-destructable boss.

Ahem, Sonic Next Japanese site update, anyway this is what seems to be added. - The trailer we saw a while ago now with music and a the last 45 secs cuts and replaced with the Cerberus battle. - Shadow's story updated Rouge's bios updated - White Acropolis update. My two favourites from the update.

Hmmm the background seems odd due to how dark the greenary is, and then the foreground's grass brightness, the darkness of the mountains seem a tad odd to me. Although get that gimmick to work and it'll be pretty radical (yes my limited vocabulary strikes again!) so is that the only gimmick you have to show at the moment? Oh and that loop looks awesome!

Actually, prior to the adventure series I believe, Sonic was most diffenatly 16, Sonic Jam showed in the bios for Sonic that he was 16. I also remember hearing somewhere Knuckles was aged 15, though I don't know where from. And I like Sonic being taller then Tails, gives more of the big brother little brother friendship you can have going there. I'm surprised no ones commented on the video itself, what Sonic man not good enough for you?
