nope. Why? Because it has been done, and I've seen it done! it's just been done by people who know how to actually setup thier card in MS-DOS first, and then WFWG can just piggyback off that as a wired network. (As i've stated. my Wifi card HAS MS-DOS Drivers, it being an old-style Wifi card that can work on a dern AMIGA, aswell, as this is where It was pulled from.).

Heya Folks. So, I settled on Windows for Workgroups 3.11 for my old Laptop? Why, Well, because it's so old and unique, thats why! In any case.... I have DOS/ODI drivers for my wireless NIC. I can get the card to 'light up' in DOS, and using a NWCLIENT (Netware), get some IPX DOS access. These drivers READ the card aand everything, and installation of the hardware always seems to go well. I then install a IPXODI in WFWG , which, installs fine.... and also seems to 'detect the card' (I also have Cardbus softwaare in WFWG that detects the WaveLAN/IEEE card in the slot as a KNOWN device, which to me, proves it's also detecting the drivers I have installed.) I then install TCP/iP which also installs smoothly. However, there seems to be a problem somewhere. while the card lights up, there doesn't seem to be any ACTIVITY going from it. Does anyone happen to have any ideas to throw out at me here, as to what may be wrong, despite everything seeming to work? My Card, specfically, is a Orinoco 'Silver' Wireless B card that has the Lucent and HP Brand on it aswell. it works for Windows XP fine with our current router.

Skies of Arcadia - I suggest this. But this is because I'am a sucker for Airship based anything. Sonic Shuffle - I do not suggest, unless you want a player Vs Players game. The CPU cheats. (This is a fact. not conjecture.) Resident Evil Ports - Resident Evil 2, 3 and Code Veronica are all pretty good on the DC! if you have'nt played them yet, I suggest them for the DC. Soilder of Fortune - This is a good first person shooter for the DC. the load times in between parts is a little long... but in the end, it's worth the wait.

Chillin was awesome. ths game also looks good, belive me, despite there not being any current shots, what i remeber was awesome. Also, i can't wait for this. <3. if theres anything I can do to help, lemme know.

Well guys, most of my memories revolve around the ole' C64, Commodore 64. I was lucky to be young in it's ending days, so stuff was still being put out for it when I was a kid, just not as mainstream. The C64 Ghostbusters title will always hold a place in my heart as the best Ghostbusters game title, and the only real playable one. Good times, good times. to go on when i was a bit older, it would need to be 'Toonshock' and the 'Monkey Island Series'. Toonshock was a game staring Christopher Llyod as a Happy, Loveable cartoonist who got sucked into his own world during a freak storm (At least, I think that was it.). It was a modern day 'Who framed Roger Rabiit.". I'am Sure the Monkey Island series needs no intro duction. "You fight Like a Cow!" Also.. um. Sonic. the hedgehog. Yeah, imagine we were so engrossed as that game as a kid we used to 'play pretend sonic' with my friends...... hahahahahaha. we were such losers!

Yup, Digibase pretty much bit the big one, I belive. One of the last posts I saw was someone claiming Digibase was going down for good within the next few weeks/days, and well, it hasn't been up since! Of course, as the Lavar says on Reading Rainbow "Don't take my word for it!" it's possible someone is working behind the scenes to get it back up and runniing, and it's just experincing lengthy downtime. who knows? I for one, still hope it may be back. I miss it.

(given, my 'Higher end' Laptop is a P3 650 with 128 megs of RAM, 10 gig hard drive and 8 megs 3D Video capacity running Windows XP pro. it works quite well for the games i use it for, though) ANYWAYS, I also stated before, that i had tried 'DSL'. and as I stated, it WORKED, I just don't know how to properly install, it given I'm limited to a 'Poor Man's install' of it. As of right now, i got 98 purrrrrring on it.. cleaned out everything, installed a registry cleaner and ad-aware, and defragged it and scandisked... twice. i also converted the file system to fat32... I did'nt even know fat16 existed. I swore it was some fable.

Eh, I'm just gonna go ahead and try to optimize the Windows 98 thats currently on here i guess, then..... it's just horriibly ULTRA Slow (I've run 98 on a 486 before. it works BETTER than this... -,-;; ), and see if I can't find a copy to reinstall if I need to... Well, I'am , indeed, looking for something thats more 'word processor' than anything (Looking for something too tool with to bring to Gaming sessions to keep my character sheets in order, without risking brining my more expensive, BETTEr laptop). I looked into "Damn Small linux' it's a 50 megs install , and made to run on just about anything (It's minimum requirements is a 486DX). However, much to my dismay, it's a liveCD version. (This laptop does not have 'built in' Cd rom support, it comes in the form of a dock attachment i HAVE, it's just finicky as all hell to get it to read CDs). I was able to get it to work by copying over the image via network and using a bootdisk. HOWEVER, this is not native Linux.... and doesn't give me disk space, etc. it is kinda slow due to the virtual nature of it, i guess aswell at the moment, I'm trying to find a way to install it natively. I May just try to find a old copy of Windows 3.1! ahahahaha, that would be so great! It'd be fast, and I'll still be able to do what I need to with it, providing I could also find old MS word and Excel versions somewhere.... ~Rocky

Hey guys! I want to try to get linux onto an old 133mhz Laptop with 32 megs of ram and a 2 gig hard drive. I know most fancy, newer distros of Linux won't work.... so what do you folks suggest for the low end spectrum?
