Introduction Well, it's been several months down the road since I had made the original DB topic and I didn't like how it was all forced/rushed; since then, it underwent a heavy overhaul with the main story and did some swapping so without further ado, I will re/introduce you all (Sonic United/SFGHQ) to.. *Logo not final What Is DragonBlossom? An indie 16-bit action adventure platformer with RPG elements based off of elements from the Donkey Kong Country, Sonic, Klonoa and Okami, alongside many others. Choose between Adventure or Classic as Ayasuka and her friends are sent into an journey that rooted from the distant past on mains to stop an evil force from taking complete control of the Kingdoms. Overview Long ago, after many struggles, the Four Celestial Sovereigns alongside with an unlikely Hero that took to the ranks of protecting a Princess, seals away the force as it was the cause of the among the spiritual imbalance of the land. It had caused many wars with the recent being the Dragon Wars that had brought much damage to the four Kingdoms; with rebuilding in progress and peace being restored, he made a one final vow before the Sovereigns scattered: it was a vow to pass his strength down to his future descendant in case the evil returned, leaving his sword in the ground where the seal was. Time passes on and since the seal was weakening, there have been incidents of attacks that rose in the years, eventually bringing to the full release to terrorize the Kingdoms, bent on revenge and with the insight to cause the fulfillment of a dark prophecy. At the wake of the crisis, three individuals from different Kingdoms, all from different lines of life are brought together through the strings of Fate as they must fight back to save their World and solve the mystery of the intentions of evil at hand. She lives in a house on the mountainside outside Kazujin's capital city. Mao (Toto088's character) [ Art ] Fierce, serious and down-to-earth, Mao is one of many sisters in the Zheng family, who owns a restaurant in Houng-Tu; as a child, she was trained and raised by temple monks who, on her departure, gifted her with a sword and mystical cards with the ability to summon the Zodiac Spirits, who are beings that inhabit the four Kingdoms. Seichi [ Art ] Calm, soft-spoken and pure, Seichi is a youth that has resided in the lakeside of the Kingdom of Tsumizu-Le. He is very respectful to his mentor who has trained him in self-defense especially with the lingering threats that has been an issue; on the other side, he gets a bit homesick every now and then. *mockup, not final; WIP; tiles made by BrendaMaya/me, revamped by Derzocker; oh and Ayasuka sprite made by me, revamped by Novally We're working on a graphical overhaul to give the game a more professional touch!

Okay, it's a bit of my fault for not updating in a while, but here is what is going on: -Rusty left the team because of real life issues (which is a darn shame because he was going to help me with redesigning the characters to point to an E10+ - Teen related game) - Since Rusty left, I need a new enemy designer that will help out. - And yet, more spriters are needed! -I'm a bit nervous to do a Kickstarter because well, obvious reasons, but I desperately need the money to get this project rolling.

  8. BUMP! Okay, I know it's been quiet, but working on an update's not easy after all. XP I'll drop you guys a little something I'm experimenting on with the name cards. What do you guys think? Oh and one more thing, I'm working on the level situation. I have got some tiles going and such, so yeah, expect that soon.
  9. @DaHog: The programs I use for making tilesets are MSPaint and Photoshop. The outlines for the curves were passed to me by Overbound.

  13. @DaHog: Well, there's the Spriters (Characters, Items, Enemies and BG), Level Design, Scenario and SFX Design are open, but VAs, Beta Testers and Programmers will come in later.

  15. @Shinbaloonba: Look, I'm trying to do my best on spriting, okay? I'm relevantly still inexperienced to doing custom sprites since I've recently started back in 2008 and for people to criticize on them and I dunno, visually not help me, it's not making my job any better, isn't it? N-O as in NO. Sorry if I sound like ranty and complaining, but it's been generally very stressing on me as of recent with juggling two projects with one of which that I severely lack a team in and have little to no money to work with on commissions and all that stuff. @Infinity_Alex: Sure. However, we still need a stage and a character to be completed as well as a person who can help with fixing up Sonic Worlds engine.

  19. @Infinity_Alex: Thanks and by the way, Ryota has been slightly redesigned as of recent and I'm working on his next pixel work with his updated look. Another thing, I do have a composer and yes, I keep on their sides to make sure that they do their job. *sigh* But it's still so hard to find a team. I'm in total desperate mode here to gain more members! I've work my tail off on this the most and to see that lack of interest worries me, but I'm not giving up. I will make it through somehow! Please when you get the chance, spread the word of this so people would come in and help out! Every bit helps!
  20. Graphical Overhaul Time~ What used to be a whopping 38-colors is now reduced to a fairly decent 31-colors, pushing the game to result to a 32-bit target. And what's this? An revealing of an item? Yes folks, we have our common collectable: the Crystal Arrowheads. They will be worth the value later on down the road. Now for the WIP HUB, it's going to look familiar to most of you who follow Freedom Planet, but here it is: If you notice it, congrats. However, I aimed it to reference elements from the Kingdom Hearts series with the different actions. After all, this is an Action-Adventure Platformer with different elements, however RPG will be a major role to this.
  21. Another update after what 5 days or something? I would do updates sooner but my internet went bipolar on me and turned on and off, however that's been fixed. Thank goodness. - Ayasuka's walkcycle revamped (1/2 done) - Introduction to Tadao (3rd protangist) - Revamped Ukiagi's runcycle sample - Ages are revealed for the three characters We got some new characters coming in so it's no longer just Ayasuka and Ryota. Another thing, I have also some new concepts for characters coming in, but they have to be near finalization before I post them up here. Ukiagi equals one word: Ninja Bunny. Hey, it's bound to happen sometime and this happens to be the case. XP Update! 3/28 This is a half-done beta run sprite for Ukiagi. I have yet to improve it! But yeah. Update! 3/29 The updated version.
  22. Dang man, this project of yours is on fire. Not like literal terms, just saying. Anyways, it looks rather interesting there.
  23. First up, news. I got another friend on the team who will be helping with Voice Acting to some of the some of the characters and creating the HUD concept. Second up, new things are in: New Beta Stand sprite (unfinished) and these~ Commission of Ayasuka. UPDATE! March 25th! MAJOR UPDATE! Ukiagi's new Sprite! I did a major overhaul from her beta sprite to this and boy did it take long. Note: Don't mistake Guardian Ryota as Monkey Khan from the comics, he is an original character that was inspired by him. XD Now..if only this project had a logo.. that and I'm working on revising some sprites to fit in the new style I have in mind. I know progress is slow, but it's going still.
